We should not drop them. We are not developing another non-conference rival overnight. We just need to keep improving and establish dominance. Period.

Just get good enough to beat them,if we can't do that then we have no hope of ever being anything more than we are in the SEC. If we can knock a few feathers off he birds things will get better for us in the long run.

What does switching conferences have to do with needing UK? We've played UK every year despite the conference changes which (if anything) goes to show you the UK game is irrelevant to the need to be in a better conference. It's not like we played UK and then dropped you guys once we got to the ACC. Then you may have an argument.

Plus, if UK was fulfilling a major need for our schedule like you appear to state above we wouldn't have to switch conferences in the first place.

Nope I can't see Louisville switching conferences again. Being in a smaller league never really hurt the Basketvall team but it sure kept the football team from having a seat at the Big Boy table.

This site apparently has been trying to remove this individual for years, because he is an embarrassment to the UK fan base, but he keeps coming back under a new screen name. I'm close friends away from the computer with a few from Louisville that post here, and they all laugh about this guy. You'd swear he was really a UL fan posing as a UK fan, but sadly, we know his real identity, and he is not.

Nailed it. The administration at UK hasn't made the same commitment to football that UofL has and it's shown on the field. The fans that want to drop the series are simply making excuses for the administration instead of holding them accountable. You don't like what's been happening? Blame Mitch and Co. You have the resources, money, larger fan base, conference affiliation (something UofL didn't have until the ACC) to get it done.

If UofL could get to this point via CUSA, the BE, then the AAC. Then theres no reason you couldn't have done it with the money, prestige and exposure of the mighty SEC.

That's just a dose of truth.

I don't agree with you often, but I do agree with this. The only caveat is that I think UL's "commitment to winning" is tainted in a lot of ways (prostitutes, taking criminal transfers, etc), but there's no doubt that UK was late to the party when it comes to football.
