The strategy is to file as many bogus charges as they can think of...get them before some radical Obama appointed Judge (where they can hope to get a favorable ruling) & keep Trump mired in endless legal proceedings. It's designed so he has to spend all of his time & money in court defending these spurious charges instead of out campaigning...and then they hope something either sticks or his supporters get so tired of these endless court charges/appearances that they just abandon him altogether. Death by a thousand cuts.

There is no way they think they can realistically win any of these bogus cases against him...just like they know they will never be able to beat him in a fair straight up head-to-head election without cheating or rigging the game.

Think of this as well. If Trump would remove himself as a candidate for an elected position in this country in trade for dropping all charges, Democrats would agree to it. Trump is fighting for America or that's exactly what he'd do. This is about keeping Trump out of office, not law and order.
