Show I was ok with the black I mean I would have preferred they stuck with the referenced uni in this thread but I could stomach the black at least the basic concept was the same. I just don't get it. That uni Grant is in is TIMELESS. Why didn't they just leave it alone!!!!!!! Lol

I like the classics best, but other than those weird shoulder stripes in '95, all the variations and alternate uniforms have been pretty tasteful, I'd say. We haven't gone full Maryland/Oregon/retard yet. I really don't care much for the outlined "DUKE" on our home uniforms we've used the last couple years. They're hard to read from all TV shots but close-ups, and they're a little too Penn-St-football for me. But meh, Duke is Duke. We're on TV more than Leave It to Beaver.

I liked all the uni's from the 2003 J.J. , deng, Ewing, Duhon, and Shelden team. Even the black. My highschool coach was a big Duke fan, so we had those top of thread uni's, with the short shorts. :)

Agree on the jerseys...not so much the shoes. The sleaker low cut shoes today look so much better. Not the crazy color versions, just something tasteful. Early 90s shoes were awful. And I grew up wearing them.

It was 2004, but yeah I really loved those as well. They were sort of an updated version of the traditional ones Grant is wearing in the pictures in the OP.

Yes, those stripes were terrible.

I still have my Griffey Jrs from 1996. So ugly now, so cherished then.

As a Duke fan and Jordan hater, I'm ashamed to still have my original Jordan 11s too. But I admit, these are the best sports shoe ever made. Horrible to play in, but so nice to look at. They are still in production in every color imaginable.

These Duke lows are awesome. They should have Jeff Capel's sillhouette on the side and bottom, as he's hitting that half court shot.
