I honestly don’t know how coaches do it these days. Kids as well as parents feel like they are entitled to something. I wonder what Wendell and his mom are going to say if the Bulls draft over him. Whose fault will it be then?
On a side note, I met the mother and father at the hotel bar in Bloomington Indiana before the Indiana game. I had about a 5 minute conversation with the father. He seemed like a nice guy but in those 5 minutes I found out both parents did not have jobs as they were traveling around the country watching their son play for the best program in the nation.
They were riding the coat tails of their son waiting for him to get drafted. I would have to believe they took out a loan or saved a whole lot of money to be able to do that.
Anyway, I just wish the new age kids would welcome competition instead of transferring or complaining when things do not go their way.
