Shelby walked. Bases loaded. Curtis gets 3-1 count and Morehead is changing pitchers in the first.
Seems like we can't get out of our own way far too often. Shelby and Reed combine to get us out of the 2nd with base running comedy.
Shelby hustles and gets an infield single by running through the throw and knocking it out of the first basemans glove.

Kessler leads the 6th with a standup double to left. I think the wall scared the left fielder into dropping that one.
Cam Hill with a bunt and gets on by an error. He goes to third on the poor throw and just barely gets thrown out at third.

Wonder if Fanning gave Hill the green light to go to third or if Hill just tried it... Fanning was mad about it but not sure if he's mad at himself or what.

Hehe gotta give Gabriel a bit of grief for messing me up. He didn't notice Schultz at second and ARod at short and thought Curtis was still at second. So, I thought Alex was at third. He kinda corrected it between innings. Just kind of funny.
With this lead going into the top of the 9th, we should be done batting. Even though we are winning 7-0, we are batting 6 out of 30 with at least a couple of those infield singles. That's a robust .200. We haven't solved much on offense.

They have a really good batting average as a team, so to shut them down is impressive.

Yea, but I'm not trying to rag on the guy. Jeff asked us to kind of cut that out. Just kind of thought it was funny that he noticed the change a bit late and then still didn't get it quite right. It happens. Made me chuckle.
