UK bounces back makes it 3-2 and still going. Moving Fogel may have been a good idea

Man, its hard to get into this game........The air has been deflated a little after the Arkansas series.

Nice! Just flipped over to WLAP from Reds game in time to hear Rubalcaba put us up 4-3!

Go Big Blue!

I feel like UK does a lot of silly things against lesser teams that they cannot get away with against better teams. Like that steal of 2nd that should have easily been an out.

Fogel in a slump. He's hitting with his arms and hitting tailor made double play balls. Luckily they booted it.

Darren just brought up Sean Hjelle and his wife having their second child. Funny he brought him up, he pitched for the Giants against the Reds the other day in Spring Training. His mustache game is strong these days boys! 😆

Plastiak with a very nonchalant approach on a pop up. That is not what a team leader does.

That Fogel catch is a good example of how we're not defensively sound. You break back and then in, not in and then back. That wasn't that well struck so he caught it ok, but that's just poor fundamentals.

Lol silly. As I said UK tries stuff against weak teams for no reason..we try a double steal 1st and 3rd and get thrown put at home to end an inning. Silly call.

I may be in the minority here, but I really don’t like Ritter in the lead off spot.

Like the hitting numbers but I like my leadoff guy to walk a lot and strikeout a little. He has 5 walks to 27 strikeouts. He seems like a really strong 2 hole hitter though.

I would go: Harris in 1. Ritter 2. Estep 3. Plastiak 4. Jump 5. Rubalcaba 6. Liebert 7. Fogel 8. Thasher 9.

Harris also struggling tonight with 4 Ks in 5 ABs. I stand by him being leadoff. Lol tonight he has a big swing. Needs to shorten up and keep it simple.

Another base hit. Seeing eye past the 3-4 hole. Runners at 1st and 2nd and we go to the top of the lineup.

Roszel out. UK will change.

Will be interesting to see what UK does here. Save situation. UK getting just their 2nd save of the year if they close this out. That's unreal.

Guilfoil. Interesting.

Gotta say. I don't care for our use of the bullpen. No defined roles just doesn't suit me.

........and this one belongs to the Bat Cats!

Looking ahead, weather Saturday looks like it might be chilly. Considering heading down to the ballpark for the Georgia series. May do Sunday. Gonna play it by ear.

I would almost flip Thrasher and Harris in that order. But that’s just me. It seems with Ritter it’s feast of famine with him leading off.

I think you could conceivably put Thrasher up there, but I think he's likely seeing better pitches in the 9 hole than he would in the 1. So, I think that's part of why he is hitting as well as he is and I'm hesitant to move him.

Fun fact... of our top 11 hitters (Liebert and Anu added), Ritter is only higher than Fogel in OB%. That just isn't the stat you want to see from your leadoff guy.

But no way we see a change........

It took 20 games to move Fogel down in the lineup. He has looked awful at the plate.
