Can anyone beat them this year?

If so, tell me who and when?
Montini, whenever they meet in the playoffs.

Although, I just looked at the playoff outlook again and Montini is currently the largest school in 4A so if they end up in 5A then the answer is Rochester.

Morris allowed the Simeon QB to throw for over 400 yards and they had a receiver with over 200 yards. Izzy will eat them alive. Morris pass defense is not good.
Montini would destroy the Morris Dbs. Receiver group may be top 3 in the state with the way they are playing. Montini also had a chance to run away with the Marist game, and Marist beat Simeon in a similar manner that Morris beat Simeon. Montini tends to figure things out by playoff time on the defensive side. I heard Namari Anderson does not play for Montini anymore.

Morris is much better at QB and the Montini defense is no where near the 2025 defense.

Maybe if Montini finds DE Namari Anderson then I may change my mind?

But right now I got Morris.
Then it may be a shootout, but Morris D has trouble with passing teams. Just because Montini has struggled with some CCL teams doesn't mean they wouldn't beat Morris.

Montini RBs really not very good this year. Alexander was great for them last year. I see RB as another negative for Montini.

Watching the Kaneland game it looked like the Morris DL was extremely under sized, not sure if they have guys out injured, but they didn't generate much pressure. That would pose a problem against a team like Montini.

I agree, they lack speed there, but they will be hard to outscore. Maybe if the weather gets really gross Morris can keep up, but otherwise Montini can outscore anyone. I think Naz would roll Morris as well.

Like I said, currently Montini is listed as the largest 4A school so all this talk may be meaningless in 5 weeks. Should Montini jump to 5A then pencil in Morris/Rochester for the day after Thanksgiving.

I know Louis talks about the Montini QB and WRs and of course Montini is very good at those positions.

But one dimentional teams dont win late in the playoffs.
Maybe you are correct, but I just can't compare the level of competition Morris plays to the level Montini or even Rochester plays. Simeon was a good non-conference game, but its hard to judge this team until they face bigger offensive and defensive lines. Regardless of their struggles, Montini looks much bigger. Rochester beating the breaks off Batavia has to make them favorites by a lot as well.

Let's pump the brakes on getting no respect. All I'm saying is they're not on Montini's level. If Montini ends up in 5A then 4A North is Morris' to lose.
I feel like Rochester is the runaway team to beat in 4a. Morris and montini playing to be runners up. If montini is 5a then it will be morris as the underdog to Rochester.

Morris is a lot like Rochester but the difference is that in recent years Rochester is often able to match up with the big dogs on the lines even if undersized. I imagine a Rochester vs morris or montini vs morris would be another mismatch on the line of scrimmage.

Not sure I agree with your take. Morris being undersized on the lines has never really been an issue. They've always had some big ol' corn fed boys on the OL. I will say the DL I saw against Kaneland did look under sized, but as I said earlier not sure if there were any injuries there. Kaneland was #3 in 5A going into last weeks game and Morris handled them comfortably and the Redskins didn't look like they played their best game.

Morris' issue for years has been pass defense. They can wear teams down with their rushing game, even going old school with "T" formation, they can go toe to toe with a run first team and hang with most balanced teams, where they have issues is hanging with pass first teams.

That being said, per Massey (take that for what it's worth) has Morris as a TD favorite over both Montini and Rochester.

Rochester is getting the credit they deserve for beating Batavia the way they did, but it's still only one game and a game I feel they were game planning for all offseason, especially based on how lackluster they looked in week 1.

It's a fun debate to have, but neither team will be tested for the rest of the season or likely in the playoffs until they face each other in the title game should Montini end up in 5A. If Montini is 4A then 4A runs through Montini until someone proves otherwise.

From what I saw of the Morris team a couple weeks ago, I'd say that they should play whoever they get in the playoffs and see what happens. I'd take my chances on them no matter who they play in 4A or even 5A. The O line and the D line both looked very good to me. When the big guys look good, teams consistently look good . That QB they have is no slouch either.
