I thought he had potential. Scott will likely leave. Stepp may not be happy with his role. Ervin coming off knee injury.
I’m all for picking up a proven RB from a smaller school who wants to play on the big stage.

Running back reps and rotation has been so scattershot with this staff
Randomly inserting Brody Belt, Stepp, Morrison, Yant, etc Players go missing for extended periods of time and then suddenly get live reps in a game. Then go missing for another week or two or longer

I especially like it when we play one of our 180 lb. guys in short yardage

Somebody had to go with so many backs. The idea of none of them transferring was impossible

Freaking out about this was predictable, but also silly. Our top two RB's are both freshman. A fourth string RB leaving is not a big deal.

This whole offensive staff was a cluster f**k.

I didn’t like recruiting so many little guys (Morrison wasn’t) but when Frost got here it was all about speed and no blocking.

That doesn’t seem to work in this conference. I prefer a good all purpose back and a full back if I can dream.

Always thought Scott would be a good FB. Strong as a bull, willing blocker, but maybe lacks the straight ahead speed you need to be a big time RB.
I can't remember how tall he was but I remember Cody Glenn switching to the other side of the ball and having a really great career. I think Marvin might be pretty small for defense tho...

What would happen if 20 or so guys on offense cashed in their chips with 2 games left in the season?
This is a very real possibility. Some of these players are planning to work their tails off trying to win. If the University doesn't care about winning why should they?

I think we should work hard on 4th and Goal from the 1 yd. line out of the shotgun. It is just so brilliant. Frost is a genius.

It will be interesting to see if Scott gets some carries. He looked alright last year in the small amount of carries, but had decent hands out of the backfield and seemed to get yards. Stepp also made some interesting comments about Held. Saying good recruiter and got him to NU, but Ron Brown is a better skills teacher. Will be interesting to see if Stepp, Scott or Yant look any different without Held here. Maybe these backs wer being "Held" back. I had to.

How can you blame him? His RB coach is gone. The coach who recruited him is gone. He has been jumped on the depth chart. I was so excited to have him and Scott on the team and yet both seem to not be in the long term plans. Best for both that he can go somewhere and be the guy that he thinks he is and that Nebraska can go find the next Kenneth Walker.

The fact that Belt got game reps in a non blowout and Liewer and insert random walk on name here. What are these coaches thinking? Guess who is going to transfer because of that BS? The scholarship players are going to transfer. You think we are going to win with walkons. For Fuchs sake.

Why do you still care then?
Very good question, I keep asking myself that. I guess there's a difference between a fan and a player. I want Nebraska to win and the player wants to be on a winning team somewhere. When Brody Belt is getting reps before one of our most talented RB, what do u expect? This staff has been a total failure and major Cluster F.

How do you know who's more talented?

I agree, but I love the all purpose guy with with game breaking speed. It'll be interesting to see what we can find in the portal. There could be some really good lower tier backs to go after. Either way, need to get guys that also have good vision. Our line has been bad, but our backs have had some horrible vision issues this year. I think Rahmir is a little better, but he is still pretty stiff sometimes and finishes runs awkwardly.

So you really didn't answer the question. And then tried to explain why Morrison would leave with a bunch of assumptions.

Another spot of a transfer OT. So are running backs can actually have some blocking!

We don't have 5-6 Jr's that will leave early. We don't have 5-6 draft picks total.
Yeah, didn’t a actually mean leave for the NFL, but we have a few juniors I think who will just retire, and a few who will declare for NFL.

My advice, since you obviously didn't take a bye week last week, take the week off from this board. The amount of negativity in your posts screams the need for a vacation.

Be a fan, but take this week off from the board and think about things other than Nebraska football. Then turn the game on Saturday, cheer on the huskers, and do your best to find positivity whether the team wins or loses... and I say "wins or loses" because at your current rate we could beat Wisconsin 40-0 and you'd still be unhappy about some play or the way a coach walked out of a huddle and think that's an indication that they "don't care about winning."

The fullback isn't coming back. It's so thirty years ago!
