I couldn't even watch the game for scouring for updates.....and when I did watch, every three that we shot, I thought, that ones gonna go....and it didn't.....it was like Groundhog Day

It felt like I was punched in the gut from the blind side. OFC
Yea it was really strange for me also. I just sat there and watched the game with little to no emotion and that’s never happened to me in a Duke-UNC game. I just kept thinking about the rest of the season and not so much on this game, which was a first for me.

I would say most of our faces looked like unc fans after Rivers shot

I feel like Zion could have ripped his shoe out and not gotten hurt at all. Or could have really got hurt bad. This sounds in between that. Maybe once he is back will motivate team and they can win it all. Could happen.

Not sure "demoralizing" is the right word. Did not cause me to lose faith in the program at all. Rather my thoughts were "regroup" and "adjust". BUT, Wake 59 Duke 7, that was demoralizing. Still have not completely gotten over that, even with big bowl win over second-rate opponent.

Kyrie’s injury was the most long-term demoralizing moment for me.. because I know that year was our championship to lose and that was a team that had potential to be undefeated.

A #1 draft pick.. a Senior Nolan Smith & Kyle Singler.. 8 total players that eventually played in the NBA.. plus Tyler Thornton & Josh Hairston as role players.. that was a championship team.

Zion would have been close esp. if he was lost for the season. But for me it was 99. I watched the game with my dad. Was kneeling in front of the TV when the last play happened and I think I just stayed there for a few minutes in shock. Langdon was my favorite player but I kept yelling for Avery to take the shot. Ugh.

Still too soon to discuss that game.

The thing with Kyrie is that it didn't seem THAT bad... he actually came back into the game.

But Christ almighty, that then dragged out for EVERRRRRR...

I figured if Duke were to lose to UNC this season it would have been Wednesday night. They are lights out on the road vs at home for whatever reason.

Zion's injury at the moment doesn't sound very bad at all. I would think Duke would have more demoralizing moments in its history than losing to a top ten team without their best player on the court.

To be honest I thought we would run the table as long as there were no injuries. We were a shot or break or two from being undefeated until Wed. and of course just like on cue here comes the injury . I'm not we would have one the game for sure but Zion would have made mayes night a lot tougher. I think I could have scored 10 points if I was left open and unguarded the way maye was. Nobody's gonna want to play us. OFC

Run the table in conference you mean? I couldn't see it, even as talented as you guys are. The ACC is brutal. I fully expect you guys to be healthy and the overall number one come selection Sunday. Don't want any rematches with you all, either.

Run the table through the championship game. Yes it is brutal. You gotta believe things like this are possible from time to time. OFC

Duke women's loss to Rutgers in the sweet 16 in 2007. I was in bed all weekend sick...

Oh good lord, for the last time, it’s about Zion getting hurt, not the result of the game. You slow Louisville grads.

He’s not even hurt badly, though. It’s not like he’s out for the year. He will probably play next week

1990 vs UNLV. To watch a Duke team playing in a championship game with no answer what so ever. It felt like UNLV had 10 guys on the court....but of course everything worked out alright. :D

Definitely the worst loss for me, but it made it that much sweeter in 91
