There were ton of bad moments out of the candidates. One I almost fell out of my chair over and have yet to hear anyone criticize is Rubio saying high tech industry companies should be required to have their job postings for 120 days. Hello? Isn't this the party that whine about government regulations? And he wants this regulation? Not only is this is government overstepping boundaries on such a high level but it is so ridiculous in terms of real life HR in the industry. And pure silence from everyone especially those on the right willing to criticize this "big government solution". Hilarious hypocrisy. I guess it is more important just to whine about the moderators and the setup of the debate. That at least is something the ignorant voters that vote republican can at least get their emotion up with the pandering. And that is the way you get votes in the GOP. Fake outrage over something simple that sounds good.
It also went unmentioned that they called for Wage Scale on those positions, something the Right is not a big fan of.
But to suggest that it's only the GOP that is existing in these pandering sound bytes ignores the vast amount of pandering that took place at the Dem debate.
Yes, online gambling is a topic that should eventually be discusses by a President and a Congress, but it should have had zero role in the debate last night. Also, there is no doubt that so many of the questions last night were leading in an attempt to create fights between the candidates. The best questions came from the 2 "extra" moderators that were brought into the debate mid stream, but the 3 main moderators asked leading ridiculous questions, were arrogant and lost complete control over the format.
Now some of the failure of the debate lies in the large number of candidates, but the questions have to be more pointed and on topic. For example, asking Trump about his bankruptcies.... AGAIN.... is a waste of time.
Looking at the responses in this thread I just laugh. Outside of
@Mntneer I feel like short of offering free **** to everyone with no care to fiscal impacts (basically the DNC debate) that the responses are indicative of exactly the pre formulated opinions I would expect. Gee, Bru, RPJ and Clowshoes Magee don't approve of the onstage GOP field, spank my *** and call me Shirley. I'm astonished.
I had zero intention of watching it last night. Figured it would be the waste of time that it was. Opted to carve pumpkins with the kids, but my wife turned it on shortly after it started and we left it on in the background.
