A few years ago I met up with my brother to go to a game at Commonwealth. He had purchased tickets online and had them printed out. We spent a few hours drinking beer and whisky before the game, so I got drunk. As we started going towards the gates, he handed me the tickets. On our way in, we got distracted by the car display that the Chevy dealer had set up. Started looking at the cars, taking selfies, etc... A few minutes later, the 'oh ****' moment came. The tickets were gone. I'm sure I sat them down in one of the cars, but they were gone.

We went to the ticket window and bought 2 more. Cats won the game that night.

My bachelorhood.

But I'm in no rush to get it back...cause that would cost me half (at the very least) of what I got left.

Lost a gold ring that belonged to my dad. Was swimming in the Atlantic on Myrtle Beach.

When I realized it was gone, I felt like I’d been shot (everything went numb).

Posted a L&F on Craigslist. Some guy wrote us a few days later and told us he saw a guy find it. (A group that goes out with metal detectors).

I would have paid a lot more to get that ring back than it was worth in gold.

A ring worth $4,000 in a field picking flowers in tall grass, searched everywhere and never found it. Super pissed as it was useful for water tasks in oblivion, Ring of dessication gave the bearer water walking and breathing.

Lost a bunch of cash in Cincinnati in the mid 2000s. I can't recall how much exactly I had but it was significant. I don't even carry cash hardly ever and do not anymore in the age of debit cards.

So the one guy got his house robbed by a crackhead and lived across the street from 2 murders yet claims he doesn't live in a rough neighborhood [laughing]

Sure thing, bub.

Lost/Stolen my Michael Jordan rookie card back in the mid 80's. No telling what that thing is worth. About 95% sure my "good friend" stole it from me! He offered to give me an Ozzie Smith autographed baseball for "free" (just randomly) at or about the same time my card went missing. Had the means, motive and opportunity to take it. Oddly, my "good friend's" cousin shows up with a Michael Jordan rookie card within days----flaunting it around school etc. Still pissed about that one.

My wife lost a very expensive bracelet within 1 mos of me giving it to her. Had yet to get it insured. To my surprise, an employee from Rite aid found it on the ground and turned it in about a week after she lost it! Kinda restored my faith in humanity.

Wow!! I had a MJ rookie card stolen by a friend to. He always denied it but he had to have taken it. I shoulda whipped his ***. I regret not been the piss outta him now. It was fleer and worth$$$ then. Who knows now. If I could remember the kids last name now I would call him out on social media but that was a long time ago.

It mj fleer rookie card.

I just looked up mj rookie cards values and I want to vomit now. Thanks for the reminder

I lived in Los Angeles for years. Of course, about 50% of the US population has lived in California at one time or another.

Ventura 5 years. Bakersfield 18 years. I left CA after 5 years in Ventura and returned to CA 10 years later, unable to afford to live on the coast again.

Left a cash voucher in a machine at Keeneland....$524.00

I hit the late pick 4 on a Saturday for $560.00. I knew we were coming back on Sunday, so I didn’t cash it. On Sunday, I put the ticket in the machine, and bet the early pick 4, which was $36.00, I printed my ticket out and walked back to the finish line to watch the race. As soon as the race started, I took my ticket out to remind myself what horses I had. That’s when I realized I did not print my voucher out. Needless to say, it was long gone when I returned to the window.
