Who have some of the most improved teams throughout the season been? Maybe some schools who lost early but can make legit playoff runs now.

Depends on tomorrow night. A good showing against MC, and Montini could make a run in 6A. Title? Unlikely. Semifinals? Possibly.
Naz is not a threat this year. Not even close to what they have been in the past.
I think winner of Marist Benet tomorrow will get a big boost of Confidence going into the playoffs and could make a run in there respective class.
Just like Montini wasn't a threat the year they went 5-4 and won state? If Naz gets in they will have played at least 4 teams that are better than every team in 5a. This is where the benefit of playing strong teams above your class all year factor in. They've struggled tremendously this year. They're so young and inexperienced on O it's mind blowing but even then they are about 3 plays away from being 6-1 right now. They will struggle to score points on some teams in 5a but it's not like the 7a/8a defenses they have had problems with. Show me one 5a team that should be confident in scoring on Naz D.
Jca is not a 7/8a defense and they struggled to score 10 points. This naz team is a first or second round team in 5a. Not a chance they contend for a title.
Let's see if they can beat Viator in Arlington Heights, because any discussion of whether or not Naz is a 5A contender is moot if they lose (yes....that's stating the obvious). Viator is 5-2 and has won 3 in a row. Most objective observers would rate Naz as an underdog in this game, since their only win in the last 5 games is against an opponent who is 0-7. And their first two wins came against 2-5 Dunbar and 2-5 Leo. They don't have one quality win on their resume. Friday would be a quality win.
Agree. I felt after 3 quarters last week they were a different team and starting to turn a corner. Let's see who shows up in Arlington Heights tomorrow night.
Have to make the playoffs first.
If Lemont fell to 5a that would also pose a serious problem.

Naz and Montini will be threats in their respective classes. How about WWS though. No playoffs but could end up with 4 wins.
lets just get Bronco into the playoffs first. we will see if they look better against MC than the first three top teams they played.
I'd say getting in is an afterthought. StF is really down this year, so 5 is in the bag.

the death wish of high school football banter is to look past a longtime rival...yeah I know they are not very good this year. but they too are getting better. and you don't know what the health of the team will be going into next week after this weeks pounding.
Definitely agree. With a new coach it takes time to get on track. These rivalry games usually are always close regardless of how both teams are playing.

Meh, it's just me and I'm not on the team. I'm looking at this from a realistic perspective, nothing more, nothing less. If they lose to StF they didn't deserve to make the playoffs, and wouldn't be a factor if they did.
There was a playoff game a few years ago determined by one yard and then this just two years ago...
2014 was a regular season game. Francis dominated that game 31-7. I remember the Francis DE running down Leon Thornton on a screen play. That was two years ago and Montini will dominate this game. Montini by 40.
