On offense and defense over the the last several years, IMO Cethan Carter at TE and Stewart Bradley at LB.

I'll just say TE's as a whole... I've always felt that position group has been highly underutilized in recent history considering how much hype we hear about the guys themselves

WR Abdul Muhammad. We didn't need to throw much in those years, but he was a beast if you go back and watch game tape from that era. In the big games when we needed to throw on 3rd and long, he was the guy. Could've turned in 60-70 catch seasons easily instead of the 20-30 that he got.

Another guy: Tyrone Hughes. Clearly had the athleticism, as he spent a few years in the league returning punts for the Saints. Could've been a productive WR for Nebraska if we'd had competent throwing QBs.

Johnny Mitchell. How can you argue with that one?

Quincy Enunwa had a pretty big senior year even with 3 different quarterbacks in the lineup. But he had potential to easily eclipse a 1,000-yard season. In the right situation he could've gotten national attention. Jack Stoll, Cethan Carter and Jamal Turner are others who come to mind.

The defense has been so thin in recent years, it's hard to pick out a player who didn't get opportunities that should've.

Janovich. Started as a true freshman at fullback. Played some. Then didn’t see the field outside of special teams until his senior year. Then goes on to have a good NFL career. Pelini completely underutilized him.
