Here are the rankings of the 16 teams competing in the State Championship this year based on wins since 2000. Let me know if you see any mistakes.

1. Catholic (237-40)
2. Reidsville (229-35)
3. Shelby (224-59)
4. Tarboro (202-58)
5. Murphy (195-70)
6. Wake Forest (192-64)
7. Northeastern (189-61)
8. Scotland (182-67)
9. East Surry (172-72)

I believe that Jacksonville lost way more than 16 since 2000. I recently check maxpreps and I look at those years since 2004. It looks like they lost about 88-90 games since 2004. That is not counting the years from 2000 to 2003. Maybe you mistype?? No big deal though but 16 loss since 2000 is almost impossible.

Did you meant to type 116???

This may say more about how strong a conference they play in than anything else.

How dare you question the Mt. Airy Charter School Bears. Don't you know they are the greatest most bestest program to ever grace the football field? Do their 118 Straight Universal/World/National/State Titles not speak for themselves. You don't even have to ask them how damn great they are. All the hard work they have spent getting kids from Surry County to come to their high school and all the hard work they spend trying to stay small 1A so they can win can't go without recognition!!

Like I said, I wasn’t talkin about MA. They have a good program IMO

Mitchell is 57-14 since 2014. Five loses coming in 2014 coach Pitman’s first year. He’s done a tremendous job.

In Surry county alot of kids move and transfer to different schools. East Surry has kid from Mount airy that starts on defense and is a beast. It goes on at alot of schools. Bears lost #22 moved.to Charlotte and #3 moved to Whitthville and #74 Who moved. It happens. MA like all schools get.kids that move just like we lose kids that move. So tired.of hearing this crap.
