...as mentioned on the other board(by a Hibriten fan) 2AA has mostly schools with cat mascots left

Lions, Tigers(Mount Pleasant, Randleman), and 3 Panthers(Hibriten, Franklin, East Duplin)

Chances are high a cat will be in the Eastern and Western finals

A cat will definitely win the west, the East has 2 'fighting men' left

And Reidsville used to be Golden Lions, when they changed the Rams in 1969 when schools were consolidated.
And I'm thinking that one of the schools that consolidated to become Northeastern were also Lions. ???

thats very interesting. is that why the Shelby and Reidsville posters go at it all the time???

Nah...most of the Shelby posters are cool....I was a proud Golden Lion myself (Reidsville, class of 1968)........Interesting fact that of Reidsville's 19 state titles....8 have been as Rams and 11 as Golden Lions............................Some good karma associated with that nickname...I'm surprised no new school ever adopted the moniker....As far as I know Reidsville (until 1969) and Shelby are the only NC schools to have the Golden Lion nickname.................................

think your right 65...but they aren't the GOLDEN Lions (still love that nickname)...It took me a long time to adjust to Reidsville becoming the Rams

with the championships you two have combined you would think adopting that nickname would be a nobrainer!

I miss ol lumbee on here !! I keep up with his travels on Facebook ! Good a fella as you’d ever meet ...

Boy y'all really got us fooled the :D
But really i guess hate was the wrong word. But really I would love to see a Shelby v reidsville game tho
