So the offensive to liberate Mosul has stalled due to insufficient group troop numbers. It's been a general consensus among most top experts that once Mosul and Raqqa fall, Daesh (ISIS) will be on the ropes since those are their two hubs of power. This is a crucial battle that doesn't seem to be making enough headlines in the press.

Which brings up several questions. How long will the offensive take? Should the Kurds claim all or part of the city as their own once liberated? They obviously deserve their own state, imo. Will bringing in Shiite paramilitary forces bring more harm than good since they are at odds with the Sunnis (I believe the answer is, yes). How many (if any) American Special Ops forces should be involved? The Turks will feel threatened if the Kurds consolidate power in the city. The U.S. and Iraqis have a base in Makhmur, 70 miles southeast of the city.

No political posts, please.

Idk, I'm ok with it but I think most people will be very much offended by this. This will offend them so very, very much.
