This kid NEVER sits still while on the court!!! He is CONSTANTLY moving and has a GREAT basketball IQ. He has a nose for the ball, can make 3's, has a decent handle, great hands and anticipation for stealing the ball AND blocking shots!!! He can also play FAST!!!

Great pickup. He has the energy of Kriisa and the rebounding ability of Jarred Vanderbilt. Should be a stud at the 4.

You don't understand what EFG% is??? Dioubate had the 2nd highest EFG% on your team, 2nd only to Omoruyi. And he had the 6th highest EFG% in the SEC among players who played more than 20% of game minutes.

I want another title as much as anyone. But to expect us to be playing for the natty tonight was far-fetched, at best. We have a new coach who had to to recruit an entire team out of a picked over transfer portal. We over-achieved far more than we under-achieved. In a few years I hope we are in the title game, but at the end of the day we have only won eight national titles in however many decades the NCAA tourney has been played, so it’s not like winning one, or even getting to a final four, is a common thing for anyone.
I'm not as negative as some have taken me. I'm just trying to be cautious and observant. I am absolutely gonna give Pope time. I know how damn hard it is to win it all. But uconn has won 6 since 1999. We got 1. U understand my frustrations, I'm sure
Now let's finish out the roster with a couple of big fish with Pierre and Alvaro. Getting these two kids are now very important, as it will elevate this team from good to GREAT! Let's not sell ourselves, and our chances for next year short and make sure we grab the two final pieces we need to give us a shot at a championship! We need Pierre for his leadership, his shooting, his toughness, his facilitating and his instant offense. Alvaro brings rebounding, toughness down low, stretching the floor with his shooting, and additional leadership in the front court. Make it happen Pope!
In my eyes Pope is ahead of schedule. And if you only judge teams by natty titles, we are the second best ever. But at the same time winning a natty has a lot to do with luck and I’d be willing to best the “best” team doesn’t win the title half the time, if not more. UConn has been lucky several times with their titles, doesn’t mean they are the third best program ever.
Man, I LOVE this guy! He absolutely killed us when we played them this season! I think he has a real shot to be a fantastic player here!
Goodness this isn’t a title roster. Alabama isn’t sorry to see him go., UK can’t take 2nd level guys from top tier contenders and expect to compete for a title.
Yup, the guards will have a bit more play creation responsibility and Garrison being someone you have to at least keep an eye on should let him have a little easier time making a scoring move or a pass once he makes a dribble or two to make up for him not being the creator Williams was.
Add in more guys that can get a bucket themselves and the offense will look a little different but could be even more potent.
This is not a contender. Cats taking guys from the top programs who are dispensable because they are bringing in better players.

Uk fans have gotten soft. Whether it’s the Father Mitch AD or just the Cal decline, Cats fans have settled. Gotta play hard ball and get the best. Cats need to be the program where 2nd tier guys are leaving because better players are replacing them. Now more than ever college bball is a game for sharks.
I hope this isn't about me, but if it is, I'm flattered. I already commented by opinion on this thread, so you'll need to search the pages for it. I'll give you a quick summary though since you are a fan. I stated that I thought he was a great depth piece, which seems to me that Pope will play him at the 4 quite a bit. I also noted that we shouldn't sell ourselves short now, and we need to now get Pierre and Alvaro to finish the roster. This would catapult us from being good, to GREAT, and give us a real shot at a championship.
I'm currently on page 3 and can't believe nobody has yet mentioned this guy is 61% from the field and 46% from 3 point range. He looks like much more than just an athletic defender and rebounder. He looks like a complete player! If he has a weakness at all, it is FT shooting. And yet he still makes over 6 out of 10.
I told everyone that Pope is not going to show his hand. We don't know what goes on behind the scenes. They tell us what they want us to know and then, BOOM, we get this news!!!! Yay!!!!!
