Yep. Early in the B/W game when everybody was jacking up shots, his true value didn't shine, but then after everyone tired out a bit, he scored three buckets in a row by brute force. I loved that. There may be flashier players, but love a beast who can dominate. It's a no brainer to have him on the floor 20 plus minutes.
He has to stop his propensity to foul for that to happen though. Last year he averaged 5+ foul’s per 40 minutes.

I think MoD is very underrated; there are better pure scorers at the four but I can't think of anybody I'd trade Mo for.

And lefties have that nice advantage with finishing around the rim. Not sure how to describe it if I had too…maybe like they create more an advantageous angles when they extend to finish—the good offensive ones like Brunson in the pros. And MO

Garrison will be the first to literally punch someone. I have low confidence he has gotten his attitude under control over the summer. He's a year older, more confident, and is one of only a few returnees expected to "lead" the new Cats. Kids like him only get more aggressive. He'll have at least 3 technicals this year, if not 4-5.

I had a similar opinion of him, then I interacted with him. I’ve spoke with him and he’s played with my kids several times. During one event he actually stayed with the kids and played kickball for an hour when he didn’t have to. Just him and some kids. Seems like a genuinely good guy, I think he just turns into something else on the court. As long as he can harness that and stay somewhat poised I think he’ll be fine. And it doesn’t hurt to have a guy like that. So many of Calipari teams lacked dogs late in the tenure. But he must keep it in check, no more clawing at people’s faces.

I’m worried about him jacking up stupid 3’s more than anything. He killed our flow last year pretty bad. Can’t even count how many times we’d go up 6-10 points on a run and he’d come down and start jacking 3’s. He blew countless runs last year doing it.

Not worried so much about injuries this year because we can probably go three deep at any position, but Mo is the number one guy I want to be able to be on the court every game, especially when it really counts.

I agree, garrison gets a really unfair rep for whatever reason. I thought he gave us really good minutes last year. Plays with intensity.

There is a problem when you say something like "in games where he played 20+ minutes" when talking about any player.
Naturally in a game when a player is playing "well", he will likely play more minutes. And conversely, in a game when he is not playing well, he will likely play less minutes.

Quality time is granted for quality play … yes.

He’s gotta clean that up, we are deep again but if he wants to get over 20 a game he’s gotta stay on the floor.
With our depth and the way Pope likes to use his bench I really don't expect many on this team to get over 20 minutes per game. I'd guess 24 mpg for Otega and maybe 22 mpg for MoD and JQ when he's ready for it and Lowe when he gets back.

Billy Idol must have liked him too..."With a rebel yell, she cried Mo, Mo, Mo".
