will they move manuel to qb? any word on a new oc with crompton leaving
Not sure, the JV QB was pretty good. I'm sure they'll do everything to keep WNC's leading receiver at receiver next season. lol As for the OC, my guess is they'll keep it in house and run the same system but who knows. Even with Kachilo leaving West will return plenty of starters. 1700+ rushing yards, 2400+ receiving yards, 12 of their top 15 tacklers, and most of the OL/DL. All in all I'd say around 8 or 9 starters on each side of the ball, especially defense.

BK13T, 😆 like you didn't know Robbinsville was coming to Pisgah already. Don't worry we're looking forward to it too. We'll use our refs this time tho.😉

Just heard this afternoon that West lost one of their best returning defensive players to Christ School. He had just picked up an offer from App State this week, will reclassify to 2025 and play for the Greenies. Big 6’4 defensive end. Big loss.
Wow Christ School strikes again. Do they become the best team in the mountains? Or should they not count? I think I remember this kid from their playoff run, really good ball player.

Nah, we're not counting Christ School. I am happy for the kid, he's an incredible athlete and got to the party late, so I can see why having an extra year will benefit him. He'll no doubt go D1 with 2yrs left.

I am looking forward to seeing Tuscola this season! Should see how good they are early
Crompton won't work miracles in year 1 in my opinion. It took years for West to get to where it was, he worked with Kachilo privately for a long time before he was coach. He'll need to identify some young talent and start grooming a QB, he'll need to find athletes who can play receiver and he'll need to develop an OL that can pass block. That's not all going to happen in his first year.

It should be all about the best thing for the kid. Hope the best for him

Very true. It will be a total flip flop from what they did last year in their run heavy game. Crompton should be a great coach in my opinion. Will be shopping for a Pisgah/Tuscola game ticket early!

Dixie or anyone else, why would a kid receiving D1 scholarships reclass? I realize App is not SEC or ACC, but they are a very respectable D1 school.

Not sure of the situation, I have no inside info, but I think if you're going into your senior year and just now picking up D1 offers, the idea that an SEC or ACC school is going to offer is probably not good. Most of those schools have their offer lists pretty much solidified and are moving on to the next class. With that said, Christ School offers the ability to reclass so if you were late getting offers, you get an extra year to work for an ACC/SEC type offer. Just my guess. The kid is an incredible athlete, 6'4 225lbs and also runs track on a 4x100 team that was one of the best in the state. Watch for his name in the coming years.

I am not sure about football, but I do know that in other sports, college coaches have suggested reclassification. It usually when they know that recruit won't step in a contribute immediately. They have them work on getting stronger, faster and work on specific sport related things they see that needs improvement. Plus it helps them somewhat on grades because being older using they are usually on track to graduate and this allows them to start some college level classes with the extra year.

The last time was the worst display of officiating I’ve ever seen and by A LOT almost 200 yards of penalties for the visitors. No home cooking to see here 🙄 the knights should have been ashamed with that type of help to give up any points. Pretty sure it was a state record for most penalty yards. Think about this if the Bears have only 100 yards of penalties (that’s awful) they still win. Also worst game I’ve ever watched it got comical we all paid 8 bucks to watch zebras. It was so obvious apparently Robinsville was ashamed to guve their penalty numbers to max preps lol I think they had about 2 penalties to our 21. With several TDs called back. Nope nothing to see here. Surprised the white hat didn’t win the half and half

On a more serious note Pisgah basically returns the whole team that finished the year because of injuries the few seniors that played were already out. Plus move up some guys off the undefeated JV team. So they should be solid- but just like the end of last year they will miss Robinson he was a difference maker hate he couldn’t stay healthy his senior year. Congrats to him he will contribute at WCU in his time there. Believe they do have to go to West, wouldn’t be surprised if that’s not for the conference title. Tuscola I think will look much different they made a great hire in my opinion but he’s getting a late jump in a transition year. I’m sure Franklin will be solid. Public school wise I would think AC is the team of the mountains but it’s early

You are a liar.
Pisgah had 2 more flags than Robbinsville.
I would know.

Robbinsville 1-0 vs Pisgah. Fact.

Watauga had 28 in 2002.
That's shows you're numbers are wrong.
21+2=23
Watauga 2002 28.

Yes I believe it was a record for combined team penalties. Around 40 total

Robbinsville won by 21.
56-35

Without all those penalties on Robbinsville it'd been 77 points.

I can't believe that anyone could forget after it was talked about so long on ncpreps.

There have been a lot of good ball players here in the mountains that have went and reclassed and got a big D1 offer. The most recent one that pops up in my mind is Conley when he went from Asheville To Christ School. No big D1 offers to going to UNC. I heard Reynolds lost a kid this year to a private school to reclass. Not sure which one
