Mountain Lions are rampant in Kentucky this time of the year.
I really hope I see one. I live in Oldham County and I would definitely snap a picture.
Saw one fall off a ladder one time.
I saw one dead on the shoulder of I-24 near Cadiz 12 years ago. Big mofo.

There is no direct route into KY. Illinois or Tennessee has direct routes after the Cat crosses a bridge. The known population starts west of the bootheel. The bootheel is not heavily timbered. They are migrating east. Matter of time.
With that said, everybody and their brother has not seen a Mountain Lion. There are 40 pound bobcats. And 90 pound yellow labs.

I spotted one outside of Stamping Ground on Bonds Pike, honestly. I also know what one looks like, have fished/hunted most of my life. Watched many documentaries on ML’s via NGC, DSC, ANML Planet etc.... Nobody will believe this but that’s fine, still saw it.

They're coming to the Commonwealth and they're getting smarter AND more punctual on the way. And there is nothing we can do about it.
Because we wanted it as far away from town as possible and KY is the only place that would take him. They are known to thrive in KY and I guess people there like them.
