Down here we have black bears in the neighborhood but the thing that concerns most of us is what we call a Florida Panther. It is a protected species so you just stay away. They are not seen that often, I have run into two in my life.

This one was caught on a neighbors cam a week or so ago. He is a pretty big boy

The panthers feed off of deer and wild hogs. Gators are their natural enemy as well as man. Here is one chasing a wild hog in a wildlife preserve behind our place.

I believe a rock is what finally scared the cat away. You don't actually see the rock,, but at the end he's clearly moving to do something, then you can see some debris/dust kick up in front of the cat before it runs back.

It was kind of funny the first time he yelled at the cat, the cat responded with a flurry of F U SOUNDS AND AGGRESSIVE ACTIONS.

A video and photograph taken Friday afternoon of a hillside next to the Leitchfield Walmart shows a large cat of some type. Exactly what type of cat it is, at this point, is up for debate.

Kentucky Fish & Wildlife Sgt. Thomas Blackwell, after observing the video and photo taken of the animal, opines that it could be a bobcat.

Photo looks kind of green in the background for January 6th in Leitchfield. Trying to figure out what plant that would be.
