Conference play has arrived this Friday and it's win or go home for the M6 confrence. Should be some good conference battles in this week's matchups. Should be lots to talk about them on here this week.

Pisgah (2-0) @ Smoky Mountain (1-1)
Brevard (1-1) @ East Henderson (0-2)
Hendersonville (1-1) @ Franklin (1-1)

Who you got?

I was very surprised by the outcome of Smoky's game against Mitchell this past week Friday.

Pisgah 17, Smoky Mountain 16 - (Pisgah by 1.)

Brevard 40, East Hendo 7 - (Brevard by 33.)

Hendersonville will probably add some starters from BB but still on the short end.

Franklin 32, Hendersonville 24 - (Franklin by 8).

If Franklin beats Hendersonville I'll be very surprised, Franklin are down again. Franklin start a bunch of juniors and a few sophomores so they should be somewhat better this fall but still dont see anything there to make me think they will be anywhere close to the level of the vintage Brooks Franklin teams.

Franklin has to spend some time on the field before we're that competitive in the conference. I don't know where Hendersonville is in the scheme of things, but we need more experience and probably more bodies.

Franklin seems harder to beat in the pit, I figure this game will be the upset of the week. What's your predictions for the M6 this week?

Brevard by 17
Pisgah in a close one by 7
Franklin by 7. We played physical in both games so far but are very thin. We are very capable of getting it done.

I am expecting a close battle, but hoping for a blowout to be delivered by my Black Bears to the Mustangs. That would speak volumes as to where we are at in the juncture.

Go BEARS!

Apparently the Panthers got all the experience they were needing in the first half. The second half was a different team, and the quarterback was much more settled and accurate. Might only beat East from here on out but if that second half team shows up for entire games then they'll give some folks some fits.

Bearcat fan here. The personal fouls didn't help but the failure to figure out the diagonal pass route which I believe resulted in the last 3 Franklin scores was the killer, the last with 17 seconds left. No defender close to breaking up any of those long TD passes.

Thanks to the Franklin Panther Sports Network for broadcasting the game and all the others they do.

That Brevard/East Henderson score is intresting.
Big Bear I thought so too. Don't know whether that low preformce by Brevard was planned or coincidental but I'm leaning towards planned. Should have been at least a 30 point spread.

As most know although we sometimes forget, the Panthers are harder to beat in the pit, just a fact of life. I figured Coach B would have them prepared and that Hendo would have thier hands full and with the advantage of the "pit", Franklin was the favored in this one. Of course, as we know too, any team on any given day can win a game.
I'm gonna put this out there too, that white hat at our game last night needs some serious counseling help. He's got some issues and you don't have to be a Pisgah fan to see it either.

Yeah we've lost a couple three starters and a kid getting some significant playing time got a knee injury in the opening kickoff.
Those starters gone for the season or will they be back before the season ends? This covid thing is going to hurt teams going into August I'm afraid. No down time to heal.

Idk, they played a very bad North Iredell a close game, and some Heritage folks have told me that Brevard did not look good. The devils might be down this year... certainly looks that way on paper.
