Yes it would. Both Morgantown and Washington got mercy-ed today in AAA State playoffs. I live about a mile from Washington High School and was born and raised in Morgantown.

Final 9-1 good guys. Interesting personal note regarding this regional. My wife is a UMBC grad,my daughter is MD College Park grad, my niece is a Wake Grad and myself and my son are WVU guys.

Yes it would. Both Morgantown and Washington got mercy-ed today in AAA State playoffs. I live about a mile from Washington High School and was born and raised in Morgantown.

So it's Hurricane and St. Albans in the AAA finals. This is the first year they changed the format, should have been done long ago, and you have two teams from the same Regional playing in the championship.

I was really surprised when Washington took out Jefferson to get to Charleston since Jefferson is a perennial powerhouse. Also...a BL poster said there was no mercy rule in the NCAA baseball tournament.

First off, the new format is AWESOME! More like the college regional and super regional format.

Secondly, the attendance at Power Park may break a record tomorrow with two truly local Charleston area teams playing for a title.

There is only a mercy rule in the Big 12 (and maybe other) conference tournaments. In the NCAA, there is no "mercy" rule.

So you are an eastern panhandler? I've always dabbled in the idea of moving to either that region or Preston County. I just can't pull the trigger......especially with the kids set in their ways here in the Huntington area.

I live in Charles Town. I was born and raised in Morgantown. Spent my working days living in MD. Wanted to get back to WV and decided on Jefferson County instead of Motown. We really love it here as the area has a lot to offer and is close to several metro areas. Preston County has some nice areas....I like the Bruceton Mills area.
