Nope, too many drunks out on Saturday. Drivers were flying last night in Lexington, can you imagine a Saturday after a UK home game?

No.

I'm disappointed in MY generation.

We're the ones who are parenting these kids. They won't f'n melt if they trick or treat in the rain. I did it multiple years and didn't die of pneumonia.

Why not? It's not like we're celebrating the Devil's birthday or anything. Makes sense to have it on a weekend and it's always more fun when it is. Kids can stay out later. Parents can get rip-roaring drunk without worrying about work the next day. Teachers don't have to deal with sugar-rush or sugar-collapse.

I don't see the argument against other than a bunch of old guys whining about how it used to be.

(cancelling for rain is stupid though)

No one is saying that people cannot celebrate it on the weekend before Halloween. Many do already. But they're never going to get the holiday moved.

But while were on the subject, let's just move Christmas to the third Saturday of December, same for Thanksgiving In November. Hell, St. Patrick's Day is a party day, it's gotta be on Saturday. . .

Dumb.

Do you have young kids that celebrate Halloween?

I'm not spending my evening handing out ****ing candy while trying to watch college football, which quite possibly could include a UK game, so I'm going to go with Hell no.

In addition, the day after the super Bowl should be a holiday, as well as the day after the CFP title game and the NCAA basketball title game.

St. Patricks day should be a national holiday simply because after presidents day in February, we have to wait until the end of May to have a holiday. I propose at least one holiday a month.

Welp....we had a whopping total of 7 TOT tonight, and they were all small kids with their parents who live on this street. They made a quick sweep of the street, mainly to let everyone see them in their costumes before going off to local trunk or treat events at churches or businesses. The highlight of the evening was when our son and his wife brought the kids by and our dog went nuts because he didn't recognize our grandson in his Batman outfit. The worst part is that I've now got a damn plastic Jack O'Lantern almost full of ****ing candy that keeps whispering to me.
