Fellas ! If you're into cars, racing or just plain speed, you cannot miss this one, based off a really interesting true story. This movie did NOT disappoint. Don't wait for tv, it's a theater movie!

Nice, I was on the fence but I’m gonna see it now. I love me some cars and speed.

Ironic....this movie came up this morning with a group of guys at coffee. Everyone said it was well worth it. Might have to go and check it out this weekend.

My son inherited my love of cars. My wife saw the trailer and was like "You should take him!"

My son just turned 8. I was like "Uh... no." Didn't really look like an 8 year old movie.

I'll see it at some point, for sure. Great story.

Actually, not much adult language, at all. NO adult scenes. In fact, I think the rating was PG. It really is about the battle between Ford and Ferrari back in the day to win the LeMans, You don't have to be a Ford guy to enjoy either, BUT , if you ARE a Ford guy, you'd be insane to miss this one. It forced me to dig deep after the movie into the real story and the movie was SO in line with the real history of the project. The work that went into that Ford GT40 was incredible, as was Ken Miles , played by Bale. Lots of references to the Shelby GT and Shelby's work as well. Great movie. And I'm a Chevy guy.

I grew up in a junkyard and always was around my Pop’s Mustangs; a fastback, a box top, and 2 72 Grande’s with 302’s. My uncle had a grabber yellow Boss 302 and then a red/black 390 cobra jet. Funny thing is my family was GM outside of that. My first love was a 85 Monte Carlo and I had a 600hp G8 GT that I built around 2012. Kicking myself for selling it. My mom even had a late 70’s 4 door Nova with the “3 on the tree”. Lol.

'85 Monte Carlo! I had a 1978 Monte Carlo with the Landau roof. I thought it was the coolest thing around. I have never loved a car like that one. Put in my own Craig sound system, I don't know how the women could resist (but they did).

Love it!! I wanted a 305 or 350 cu but my dad made me get the 4.3L V6 because he knew I’d drive like a maniac with a V8!

I ended up putting a 12 inch cheap sub in mine. Sounded awful but I thought I was the shiznit lol.

Not sure if I shared, but I had a new Mustang, 2000 GT vert... black, two white racing stripes... heavily worked... forged internals, cobra crank, full exhaust, big Baer brakes, vortex s trim blower, gears, 315 nitto drag radials on back, a bunch of Steeda suspension bits, a ton more... thing was aggressive. Was in MM&FF a few times in the readers rides section, including car of the month.

Yessir! I finally caved this weekend and bought a used E63 AMG S model. I know I said I’m GM but lately it’s been Jeeps and Mercedes! This damn thing hauls ***.

I love fast cars, and I owned quite a few muscle cars back in my day, so yeah, I love car movies (did I say I love fast cars?). I also like period piece movies, and since I was a kid in the late 50's, and the early 60's (got my driver's license in '68), this is a time near and dear to me.
Unfortunately I don't go to movies anymore, but as soon as it becomes available on 4k, I'll have it (Lord willing of course).

I took my dad and a couple of his friends for his birthday to see it today and it was fantastic! I sprung for IMAX and I'd highly recommend it for this film. Being Discount Tuesday, I was able to afford snacks too. The prices for concessions are ridiculous any other day.

I like Thunder Road too, Sky. I think many guys our age do, and in our part of the country where it was filmed at.

Bullitt is incredible. Don't think there will ever be anything done like that again in our age of cgi. You can just feel the sensation of speed, and of being right there.

One of my personable favorites is 'Vanishing Point' that had a white Challenger as the star. I love that movie (own it on blu ray). I was a senior in hs and saw it for the first time while running projectors at a local theater part time. I was a huge Mopar fan (I owned a 1971 Plymouth GTX 440 at the time).

Another pretty good chase movie was 'Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry', and it had another Mopar in it, a Dodge Charger.

@OldasdirtDevil is now a good time to post PJ driving the rental car into the pit!?!

Here you go, 1444!

I'm sure no one else knows about this little piece of info I'm about to make public, but
PJ was working on his own movie about his involvement with Ferrari. When he found out
about the 'Ford v Ferrari' movie, he threatened to sue the film maker. Things got nasty, but
thankfully PJ and 20th Century Fox worked out a deal. Part of the deal was that PJ had to shelve his movie about Ferrari for at least 1 year, and would have limited release rights...it could only be shown in NW Chapel Hill. And PJ would get a gig in the Ford v Ferrari movie that was equal to his stature.

The only existing poster of the delayed PJ v Ferrari movie is displayed below. And below that is a pic of PJ in a very vital research role that he did for the Ford v Ferrari movie.

To put everyone's (especially Heel fans) hearts at ease, no dummy was injured during
the making of Ford v Ferrari.

One of my favorites was Vanishing point.

My very first car was 1977 Trans Am, and second was a ‘69 Camaro SS. Been in trucks for the most part since then

Just bought a 2014 E63s AMG this past weekend - 577bhp. She’s fast. I owned a c300 before this, and the only foreign car I’ll but is a Mercedes. They handle the road like a dream. Then I drive an 04 WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee as my “beater”. It’s a beast.

I read somewhere that the car they crashed was actually a ‘68 Camaro with no engine. It said the car was pulled into the dozers with a cable

Oh yeah, that's the one part that sucks bad about this movie. Even worse was that the Camaro had bare painted rims or 'chrome reverse' wheels on the rear (as opposed to the Challenger wheels). Stuck out like a sore thumb. You can see it clearly because the movie didn't end immediately (after the crash), but 'reflected' on what had happened, and people gawking at the car. That allows you to see it clearly isn't the Challenger. Bummer, but it's still a terrific chase movie, and is my favorite (even though Bullitt is probably the best).

Anyone ever see the video below of the Hellcat evading police, even the police in helicopter? Impressive.

Rumor has it this was @skysdad and @OldasdirtDevil after delivering money to refs for Duke at a game in Texas. Hasn’t been confirmed though.

Haha, you caught us, 14-44!
Honestly, if I shared some of my driving stories on here (back in the day), you would think I was a total maniac, and/or that I was lying through my teeth. It's a miracle that I'm still alive, and that I didn't kill anyone in the process. Ah...the good ol' days!
