Lack of e execution.. Dropped passes, catching the ball and waiting to get hit instead of running.. We had our chances but did not do it. I still think this is a playoff team this year. Needs to go 4-1 in conference to get there.
So they were better than Maine South tonight?
I had to leave at kickoff with the 1 yr old with the late start. MS4ever Yosh said sp teams were bad for hawks, but curious if defense didn’t play well.
Maine south was the better team. Palatine needed to play with less mistakes and have a few bounces go their way to win.
I wasn’t impressed with the Maine south defense. Palatine moved the ball very well against them.
No they definitely weren't .. MS put 4 guys on Popovic at the start of the game and it's like they couldn't figure out there has to be other guys open when that happens.. Plus other guys need to step up..can't be the Ayala and Popovic show all night. It's a young but immensely talented team that thus far has underperformed except for the Evanston game. You watch MS and they just execute..they don't drop passes, on runs they hit the hole quick and aren't half falling down already when they get there..very frustrating night.
Special teams they noted because one of the two freakin times Popovic got the ball all night was on a kickoff and took it 80+ yds for the score.
When we played you guys in 2017 I think O'Shea had two catches and one TD. Tonight Popovic had one catch on the last TD drive and the 85yd kick return.. Compare that to how many times Kilburg touched the ball for you guys. Some times I don't understand our coach's decision making....
I agree 100%. Let your studs make plays or at least give them a chance. I too thought about the O’Shea comparison and was grateful again they didn’t go to him more. I feel like coaches outthink themselves and try to get others involved. When in reality they need to just keep feeding the playmakers.
