I hope its by 24. Last time we played E.lincoln was in 91. Pisgah lost 17-14. Would like to see the entire conference win their 1st round match ups.

How is Pisgahs pass defense? East has a couple stud receivers, one goes 6'4 long athletic kid, other two go 6'1 but the qb is inaccurate as heck especially if you get pressure on him. They have a pretty solid defense but I think you can run on them. If the qb comes out hitting they could be dangerous but don't see that happening, those kids are ready for basketball to start. As for North and Smoky I believe that will be a great game. North is coached by Nick Bazzle so they will be ready and prepared well. Run the triple option but to be honest I wasn't impressed with it, run defense is not good. Franklin and Bandys will be the game I'm attending since my Wolves had an off season. I think this will be a great game as well and both teams are almost a mirror image of each other, both well coached and will hit you in the mouth. Bandys has a big fullback that can be tough to tackle once he gets going that sort of reminds you of the Young kid from Franklin a few years ago. I expect this game to go down to the wire.

I would say Pisgah has an above average to good pass defense. It is helped out by the pressure that our front 4 puts on the opposing QB. We also have good linebackers that can defend the pass, or blitz if needed. We have faced several tall receivers this year...results have been good so far.

Pisgah's pass D shut down a good passing attack in Hendersonville. The SM /NL game will be a doozy I bet. I'm thinking Bandys beats Franklin by 7. Franklin is not near as strong as years past.

You guys will have a field day on the qb if you get pressure on him. Most of their pass plays consist of a fade, go, or tunnel screen to Dollar (#4). Hope y'all beat the ponies by 100.

Our front 7 is stout, and they like to hit. Greenville has been the only team to out man them this year. #4 better beware on the tunnel screen ;)

First off I am not a pisgah homer.Their front 7 is strong ,their strength is stopping the run. Their pass defense is bad, no speedI in the secondary. On offense decent passing game no running game , the key is put pressure on the quarterback. Pisgah is well coach dont beat theirselves. They like to run lot of trick plays.

The Dollar kid still playing :eek: dang I came up and watched them and Lincolnton play like 2 -3 years ago and he was playing.

You may have seen his brother Cam, he is playing at UNCC now. Sidney is the Dollar on the roster now, he is a very impressive looking athlete and is committed to play basketball at Lees McCrae

Could be another 2nd round conf rematch if pisgah and smoky both win..after seeing n lincoln on film i think it will be very close w smoky..slight edge to sm IF they can defend option..just out of curiosity..who do pisgah fans want...north or sm?

Not sure who I'd like to see 2nd round. Know nothing about the Lincolnton teams. SM could be a dangerous draw,seeing as they know pisagh very well.

North and Smoky are pretty similar beside them running different offenses. North is a ground and pound team running the option. They have a decent fullback and pretty solid wings, they have a freshman running back that is pretty dang good and I suspect they have been saving him for the playoffs. Run defense isn't too strong but they have a sophomore defensive end that goes around 6'5 that can really get after the qb. This game will go either way imo.

North does good things on offense...i think sm is good on def...not sure north will be able to stop sm ...but def a solid 8/9 matchup in round one...id say field conditions could play a big part in any games that will be played on natural grass if we get as much rain as they calling for this week

Speaking of field conditions, North Lincoln has arguably the worst field in the area and it's basically sand. Any type of rain would not be favorable for a passing team.

I like Bandys stadium. We have been there several times. Do they still have the stands at the back of the endzone on the parking side?

I'm looking forward to a good game between East Lincoln and Pisgah. I think its gonna be a defensive game. I'm hoping they got some good concessions up there. I've heard Pisgah has a nice field. Hoping for some decent weather. I've read alot about people expecting Pisgah and North Lincoln. Hope both North And Pisgah aren't overlooking their opponents. As the saying goes " On any given Sunday"(Friday in this case). East Lincoln's record might not be pretty but they lost some close ones that they very well could have won. Anyways good luck to all the teams friday.

Pisgah isn't overlooking anyone. Promise ya that. To many close games for them to overlook anyone. Concessions are the normal grub, they usually have chick fil a sandwiches. If ya get in town early enough. You can eat at The Black Bear, JRO's , BearWaters Brewery. They are within walking distance to the stadium.

Appreciate it bigbear'10. Always like to try some good new food places. Looking forward to visiting a stadium I've never been to before also.

You'll like our stadium. Good parking. Bathrooms on both sides. Concessions on both sides. Very user friendly for fans

Yes that’s who I saw. Very good game it was East v Lincolnton the year that Sage moves schools. Game came down the the wire
