Is there a less likable program than Antioch? Cmon man.

Also, the comments on the tweet are hilarious.
If MC are violating the rules that everyone else is playing by why you would you say Antioch is unlikeable one for pointing it out?

Is MC short on talent this year so they need the extra practice to put a competitive team on the field? You can hate Antioch all you want but they aren't the one that is wrong here.

If MC is violating the rules they should be penalized for it and any other team in the state for that matter.

Antioch assistant coach should file a complaint with IHSA and go through that process or bring it to AD if that is the correct process. Stop constantly bitching about private schools on social media. I cannot believe Antioch admin hasn't told him to STFU, he represents the school. His snap back(s) at comments are things a school district would not want to be associated with...but that is JMO.

Probably because the IHSA does nothing on these issues so public shaming is the only option.

I do not disagree that it seems the IHSA has just thrown up their hands on these issues but that also doesn't mean you don't report it. If you are so serious about the perceived unfair advantage, you go through the channels set up even if you don't believe they are working properly. Otherwise you are just yelling into the ether.

But his constant bitching is just a bad look and then his snap back comments are not something any HS Admin I know would tolerate. Especially when his twitter clearly shows his affiliation with the HS. Again, that is JMO but it is weird to me.

Sometimes even morons are right. To many of the problems that are going on is due to lack of oversight from the IHSA and school administrations so there is an uneven playing field. If you want to win bad enough rules are seen as optional.

Thats far beyond the point here. That guy consistently uses social media to air petty grievances. If his problem is with the IHSA, then take those issues up with them instead of shaming kids on twitter like he did after the state finals games a few years ago. The world he wants to live in doesn't exist anymore. Players transfer, kids get recruited. It happens everywhere, public and private. The IHSA doesn't seem nearly as invested in this issue as he is and they are refusing to adapt to what the new reality is. Whining on social media has gotten him what exactly? The past 2 years they have lost in the playoffs by a combined 76-8 to PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Spend more time coaching and STFU on social media.

Its tough to be the king! Mt Carmel knows what Julius Caesar must have felt like!~ Im sure most of ya think its logical that Mt Carmel will randomly break rules for such a grand advantage over its competition!

Nothing will come from this. Even if MC is guilty, they will go to the IHSA hat in hand, say they'll handle it in house, suspend Lynch for one game, and it will be against St. Pat's.

Something will have been done and the IHSA didn't have to make a decision on their own, so they'll be happy.

Pretty quiet from the "plugged in" Caravan faithful....
I've obviously known for a couple days about this and I'll give my two cents. The infraction in question is MC wore pants a practice before they were supposed to wear pants.....if they messed up and got caught, own it. If this is not what it seems, explain it. Let this be done and see what happens. In my line of business Ive learned one thing, there are two sides to every story and in the middle lies the truth. So we'll see what happens. Heavy are the eyes on he who wears the crown. I'm 100% certain many other programs, private and public, wore full pads but you know the drill.

I know some of you may enjoy MC getting hammered on a serious charge but what punishment would fit this infraction? Probably a game suspension. Would it really deserve much more? Due diligence will be done and we'll see. If anyone thinks this is more then a minor infraction then that's your right, but if it happened to another program it wouldn't blink many eyes.

I'd tell them the same I would tell my kids. You messed you own it, I don't care what your friends did, you got caught. Ground them based on the infraction and move the hell on.

This will probably turn into Inflate Gate High School Version because it's MC but this gave no advantage to MC. IF they wore pants a day early, wear shorts an extra day, hold out your wrist and take the slap.

I have a few friends that know of the original nail poster and rolled their eyes when I asked about him

they said that the guy spends his life online trolling under fake accounts

from what they said… the entire thing could be a made up lie in order to draw outrage “consider the source” is what I was told

that is literally what they said.

He was fine when Antioch got Kaliakmanis and his brother to transfer from Carmel of Mudelein. A few years later when Carmel clocked Antioch in the playoffs he went ballistic. They've got their behinds kicked in the playoffs by public schools the past two seasons and not a peep but if a private school beats them it should be Hulk instead of Thor. It's amusing
