I know a lot of you guys don't like DP but I do remember that we hung 56 points on that team that he's supposedly "jealous" about Pisgah beating now. Lol. He'll end up back at Pisgah one day, when Chappell goes on to pursue something bigger or different and Ricky comes back home to replace him. So, I'd be careful about what I say about him.

DP averaged 10 wins per season. Ricky was one of the best defensive coaches we have had. I thought they both did a good job at Pisgah.They sure have turned Smoky around.Still think we win.
Why wouldn't any Pisgah fan like DP? Dude did a great job coaching here in Canton. I'm appreciative of all hes done for Pisgah.
I could care less what you say, I'm just telling you like it is. I watched it too... Like Pisgah Bears said, averaged 10 wins a year. Also, there's a very big difference in a coach not putting in much effort versus a coach having a team with not much talent that's not willing to put in the effort for said coach. I was busy finishing up playing college football during those last 2 years that he was HC there that you speak of because of the help from coach DP, but I came back and was around the program a little bit and personally I seen a lot more unwarranted entitlement from that age group than I ever did effort. A couple of people actually used to call that age group the Pisgah Premadonnas. Lol. They were more concerned with social media during that era than football. Not trying to insult your little Johnny, but if you polish a turd, it's still a turd. Anyways, I'll agree to disagree. Everyone has their opinions and are entitled to them. And, mine is that I will always support and take up for DP. Oh, and Ricky may have burnt a bridge or two but none that matter anyways. He still has plenty of friends, booster buddies, a best friend that's the mayor, a lot of good well known family members, and even hangs out with current Pisgah coaches in his down time. He'll definitely be back and he won't be alone.

That's not what I said. I was just poking holes in your burnt bridge theory... Politics and friendships go a long way in small town local high school athletics. Point being, a friend of a very popular mayor/very avid Pisgah supporter/alumni/booster carries much more weight than the approval or disapproval from little Johnny's bleacher coach daddy. And, if you don't know what I'm saying then you never will. But, anyways enough from me! Lol. Looking forward to the game and as much as I respect DP, I can't wait to see the Bears hang an L on them Friday night. Hopefully our offense will point some points on the board because I don't see this defense giving up many! Bears 14-7.

Geez guys! I didn't mean to cause Pisgah posters WW3. I'm sorry! Lol. I just had a passionate opinion, that's all. Let's carry on with something else. I like the current coaching staff a lot as well. Was not trying to bash them in any way. Things always change though! We'll see what the future holds when it gets here.

There is no comparison between DP and BC, glad you recognize that. You seem to have a very loose definition of the word “facts”. If you like Brindley and DP so much, you can join them over in Sylva. That’s the closest they will ever get to Pisgah football.
One thing I can't argue with is how all the narrow minded Pisgah guys always stick together and as soon as someone disagrees with the status quo, then they're out of their minds. It's actually kinda cute! Lol. If BC's boys have that kind of chemistry they'll be just fine. Keep coaching from the bleachers and tailgates guys! Love it.

We already knew they're a run first team because of #44. Appears that's what we will see the most of but the pass threat is always there. Of course Heritage tried that too when we shut their running game down.
