It probably wasn’t political. All he did in office was related to his liquor business or running over protesters with your car.

This is a 200 acre, unbelievable estate with a literal nuclear fallout shelter surrounded by 39in concrete walls, a steel/concrete vault door, world class air filtration system, etc. And the perimeter of this house wasn’t secure? This palace is a literal minute from the interstate in a weird spot. Richmond ain’t “dangerous”, but this place is not secluded or far from anybody.
Maybe, but what sort of person murders, or tries to murder, an entire family? You’re either beyond psycho, or you have some sort of vendetta with that family.
I don’t see a construction worker having a reason to do that.

Witnesses say they saw this homeless looking fellow leaving the crime scene. If you have any idea who he is please contact the KSP.
There is also speculation going around that it could be related to her time practicing as an attorney and could be considered a revengeful vendetta. Of course, that is pure speculation at this point.
There are a lot of rumors/theories being spread around. Of course, none of them are good.
Do not know her at all, but think that firm is known locally for civil defense work, like insurance defense. Would not think they would be involved in the kind of litigation where lawyers get whacked. Just looked at their local office website and their featured practice areas are workers comp, trucking and commercial transportation and securities litigation.
But my comment too is also pure speculation.
Saw that too but not buying it. Total bs for them to even print it. The angle was related to some human trafficking prosecution she worked on years ago. She was only 32 and just got a really nice job. She worked for a prosecutor just out of law school iirc, so she wouldve had nothing to do of substance on the case
Morgan is a Republican. Maybe a pattern will develop over the next few weeks, but I hope not. Why did someone open up on a bunch of Republicans playing softball? There isn't always a rational thought behind such a choice

No. I didn't know but did know of her. She just took that job and not even sure she actually started yet.
Seems like it almost has to be someone they know and potentially know well
I think I saw this same thing on an episode of Snapped but the kid and the dad got into it, he snapped, shot the kid and then shot himself in a superficial way to make it look like an intruder.
I just think based on everything I’ve read this far it had to be someone who had already been in that house and knew their way around.
I just don’t think this is an instance of some rando going “I’m going to go rob the rich people” and things going wrong.

And the sequence. I wouldn't think the daughter would be in the line of fire when they are shooting it out or at least the odds would be low she would get out of bed at the sound of gun shots and get hit. So given that you would have to think she was shot first and then the parents were either targeted to keep them from talking or they confronted the person after the shot and that's when they were hit. Who really knows at this point but that's my theory.
Okay this guy just looks like some whacked out loser to me, that would have nothing to do with this family. I expected a 45-year-old pissed off associate.

Not that you can judge solely on this, but this does not strike me as the person. Unless there is alot of backstory yet to come out

It depends on where the shootout with the dad occurred. If she was this target, she would’ve been executed in the bed and the guy would sprint out the window and be gone.....meaning the shootout would’ve likely happened on his way out. If she wasn’t the target.....or at least the lone target.....the guy started to make his way through the house towards the dad....leaving the shootout inside the house.

The news story says she was shot in her bed. That sounds like a strong possibility of a stalker to me.

Based on their initial investigation, police believe there was not a connection between Morgan and Gilday prior to the incident. Sgt. Robert Purdy said they currently believe she was not the target.
I don’t know how someone can be shot in their bed and you say they’re not targeted unless the person doing the shooting thought they were shooting another person.
