After watching Murphy and franklin last week give us your honest opinion on the little panthers? Very sub-par ? Is Peyton McCracken a freshman? Very impressed with that young mans play, his dad is looking down with a big grin on his face.

Franklin is definitely down some, especially their lines. Franklin has an excellent coaching staff though and they'll get headed in the right direction. Yes McCracken is a freshman, he is going to be a special player.

he had a nice int and had another until the facemask was grabbed but not called..Franklin still gonna win 8-9 regular season games my opinion, they put up 37 pts vs Asheville High.... ...Murphy has not even scratched the surface yet with this team...Could really be a handful by october....Might not be the flashiest team Murphy has had recently but this team has some "Dog" in em...old school , tough, will hit, and have brought the lumber for all 4 quarters against Pisgah and Franklin. Fun to watch a "throwback" era team like this just punishing other teams...

Whoever #10 is for Murphy brought the wood. Obviously not gonna get the ball every play, but that kid can run over some people. If y'all keep all three of your backs (Im thinking of 10, 28 & 32) you guys are gonna go far.

What about Pisgah?
First off Pisgah has a very good defensive line. Its there team strength. Doubt anyone on there schedule is going to run much on them besides Greeneville who would beat every team in the mountains. Second #28 played against Pisgah with a sprained ankle and reinjured it in the 3rd quarter against Franklin. #32 sprained his ankle in the 2nd quarter against Pisgah and was out after a few more plays. #32 played against Franklin (128 yds on 11 car) but still isn't a hundred percent. #40 (77 yds against Franklin) didn't play against Pisgah, was out with a dislocated shoulder. #32 and #40 also happen to be two of the three best defensive players on Murphys team along with #2.

So long story short it was part Pisgahs run defense and part Murphy not being healthy. #28 still had 90 yds on 13 car against Pisgah, #10 had 55 yds on 9 car, and the third string RB #24 had 46 yds on 5 car. So its not like Murphy backs were completely stuffed. The only ones that was totally held in check was the QB #2 (-10 yds on 7 car) and #32 (12 yds on 4 car). And as Franklin can tell you #32 can break a big one at anytime. Pisgah did a good job against him while he was in the game but not having his big play ability out there during the second half definitely hurt.
