Murphy scrimmage?

Wasn't there but am told Dogs scored twice Asheville once. Sounds like the earlier reports out of training camp that Murphy has a much nastier defense could be coming to fruition.

Murphy looked very solid. They went toe to toe with Asheville. The tailback #34 impressed me and they showed a lot of toughness defensively. Asheville had a ton of penalties and dropped a wide open td pass so it's hard to tell. I will be very surprised if Murphy doesn't win the SMC and make a deep run. They don't look like your typical 1a team.

If Murphy can stay healthy they will be hard to handle in the 1A. Posey stood out, good to see him healthy. Was surprised how solid the sophomore group looked tonight. A very solid performance against a much bigger school.

The two best teams in the 1AA/1A west just might reside in the SMC this season. If Murphy and Robbinsville are in different classifications both have a real chance to reach the title game IMO.

Was impressed with Murphy last night. Physical and well coached. Good thing is it was both first scrimmage and both will get better. looking forward to following the Bulldogs threw the season. Good luck
