Good number signed up from what I understand, including a couple skill people that didn't play last year that will contribute this season if they stick with it.

MaxPrep still only shows Murphy has 7 Jrs moving up to seniors for 2019.That don't sound right, or is it ?

That is correct. Murphy should only be returning 7 rising seniors this season (same # as Andrews I believe). Swain should be returning the most, and then Robbinsville I think. I think Hayesville has more than that coming back too. Not sure on Cherokee and Rosman, although I think they both had a bunch of seniors last year.
Yes, Murphy only brings back seven rising 12th graders but almost all of them are starters, five started last year and a sixth may start this year.
Murphy's rising 10th and 11th grade classes are absolutely loaded, so while they may be young overall, talent isn't a problem.

If all goes as planned then Swain should have approximately 16 seniors. We lost three impact seniors from last years team. Center, Linebacker and CB. Practically the entire team comes back. We also have potentially eight impact 10th graders up from our JV team last season.
The best addition to your team is your new OC. McMahan will do a great job, especially compared to the questionable calling of his predecessor.
A certain Murphy basketball player with great football bloodlines was practicing this week and looked really good from what I've heard.
At this point I'm just ready for summer to be here. There are several additions that would be great but I'm not truly buying in to any of them playing until I see them walking down the hill on a Friday night in August.

Fell off a 100' waterfall, but landed on a small ledge 20' down. Looked like he'd been in a motorcycle wreck, but no broken bones. He ran at track regionals today. Lucky to survive being a 15 year old boy.
