Postponed till Monday 7:30

Well that worked out good for Murphy. Knights would have had the advantage in the rain no doubt. With their RB nowhere near 100% and their passing game it would've almost been a guaranteed Robbinsville win over at the Hill tonight. Very disappointed to see this one rescheduled as it looks like most of the rain is over in Murphy for the rest of the evening and night. Also with more rain in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday the field will be even more water logged by Monday so how does that make any sense?

Yea and all Nole Fan knows how to say is IF haha!!! All those excuses you make Nole Fan are pretty big IF'S. You know there is two teams on the field playing and the other teams make penalties and turnovers that kill drives as well.

I have rarely seen any smack talk from Robbinsville. As far as I know I haven't talked any smack. If you are referring to last year well yea I did talk smack. You will probably never see another team in the SMC go 16-0 in one season... But as far as this year I haven't said anything. It's a different year. All I have seen and heard out of you on this site and Carolina preps is all these if's after losing to Franklin and all the if's about what y'all could have done last year. Do i need to go copy stuff on Carolina preps and put it on here and show you all your if's in one post lol? I would have said something on there but I don't have an account.

I'm not gonna rehash everything I've said about last year again. You know where I stand on that and my mind will not change. But as far as the other site goes, I was responding to a poster who was saying how much of a joke Murphy is and how much Robbinsville "dominated" Murphy last. I was just pointing out some things prove that Robbinsville did not "dominate" like he said they did. I was just showing how a play here or there could have changed the outcome. I see nothing wrong with that. If you want to call it making excuses, fine. So be it. I call it telling the truth! I guess we will just have to agree to disagree. The funny thing is that it wasn't even a Robbinsville fan that I was arguing with over there. So if you want to copy and paste then knock yourself out. Y'all act like anyone who doesnt bow down at the Robbinsville alter and proclaim that last year's team was the best ever assembled is a terrible person who is just making excuses. Get thicker skin.
Last years R'ville team was a good team but I can assure you they were not the best 1A team ever. That honor goes to the 1976 R'ville team

I can't argue with that (before my time) but I bet the Carl Pickens Murphy teams would disagree. Along with some of the early-mid 2000s Thomasville and Albemarle teams.
Why don't we get someone to search out the team stats and we will find out

You're right noknightsno, no other SMC will never be 16-0. Blah blah...cupcake soft schedule, injury riddled Murphy team, and 1a playoffs. Real tough row to hoe there. 2004 Swain would have been in that illustrious company too had Reynolds not dodged them and left the Devils toiling away at a mere 15-0.

'86 and '87 Murphy would've beat '76 Robbinsville like a drum

lol at the Knights having ANYTHING for athletes like Carl Pickens, DJ Cox, Mel Nicely, Juice Nicely, etc.

You've heard the old saying "lies, damn lies, and statistics", right? Stats don't always tell the whole story. Ask yourself this, who on that Robbinsville team could cover Carl Pickens or would care to get in the way of big DJ Cox when he was carrying the ball?
LOL how far could Carl run in 2 seconds, that's how long the quarterback would have before he was sacked. DJ Cox ? never heard of him.

'76 Robbinsville (and '76 Franklin, the 2A state champs that year) had the benefit of the '76 Swain team, possibly the most underachieving team ever to take the field for the Maroon and White. Deitz missed having another state champ by not getting to Swain two years before he did. :)

Not sure where you are getting your info smart guy, but before you so eloquently put down degrading comments referring to mentally handicap persons, take your own advice and know what you are talking about. First, this might be something new to you but football seasons don't cross two years such as basketball season. A football season is completed in the same calendar year it is started. Still with me? Sooooo...therefore the 2004 State Champion Team from Swain County was undefeated at 15-0 and was shorted a game because AC Reynolds broke their contract.

Second, Watauga wasn't even on our schedule in 2004. Sooooo...got anything else you would like to share?

Yet another lesson for Graham County's finest...come on back...plenty more where that comes from.

I am not sure what max preps says but I was there in person and not much into peepee contests. Trust me...Swain didn't lose in 2004. 15-0. I know it is hard for some of you guys from Rville to admit you are wrong but in this case you are flat out wrong. Look on the schedules section on this site and adjust it to 2004 if you want too.

Whatever dude I have looked at 3 sites and all of them show swain losing to Wautuga that year. So seems to me you need to get ahold of the people that run the sites and tell them THAT BY GOD YOU WERE THERE THAT YEAR AND YOU WENT 15-0

Lmao! Someone is mad they were wrong. The site you are referring too and you said we played them on Oct. 10, 2004. If that was the case then we would have played them on a Sunday. Look at this site if you don't want to take my word for it. And Watauga got beat like a mule by Reynolds that year somethi like 46-0. If we would have played them that year it wouldn't have been a Lose. It's ok to be wrong every now and then man. You deserve a Richard Sherman, "You mad, bro?" You have made yourself look horrible here and taken the thread way off topic. I would say stop while you are ahead but the reality is you were already behind when you got up this morning. Nice try though.

You want to see how wrong the web can be, just try running a picks contest sometime.... I've seen two or three different scores for the same game on different sites, not to mention scheduling errors. I made the mistake of depending on the most convenient site I could find, and wound up getting burned. (Didn't help that I screwed a game up all on my own, either....)

Sounds like two people copied somebody's bad data from somewhere. The Internet is full of bogus "information." Once it's out there it acquires a life of its own, and whatever the reality was takes a back seat.
