1987 was the year OVC had two teams. Austin Peay beat Illinois in first round and Middle Tennessee was beaten by Notre Dame in round 1. I think Kentucky beat Austin Peat the next game 106-100. Middle Tennessee beat Kentucky in 1982.

If they were to lose, then I don't think they deserve a bid given their schedule, but I hope they get one anyway.
