Music City Bowl vs Iowa

This is just so stupid to be honest! When you’re a fan of both and want to watch both live you just won’t be able to you’re going to have to pick one or the other.
they added a December signing period a few years ago so that may have something to do with it
Is Nashville on central time? For some reason I thought I saw 1 pm. That would make it even worse.
I will be watching both at the same time but I’ll have a headache. Football gets the big screen, basketball gets the smaller TV.
No problem! It would more than likely be the biggest recruiting weekend left before the signing period comes around. I can't blame them for wanting to take advantage of that.
Looking at schedules , this should be a game both coaches love!
Well, if the best players opt out, it can be used as a scrimmage and get young dudes some reps.
Dang. I might still just go to the Vegas bowl and hate watch this bowl on tv two weeks later.
This is stupid we already saw a slugfest between these two teams nobody wants to see it again. Rather have gone to the liberty bowl and played somebody new
Makes more sense and I don't blame them BUT......win more games and you don't have to worry about conflicts.
I probably thought 12 central and 1 eastern. At the time I was studying a bunch of bowl possibilities so I could have confused myself.Yes, announcement stated 11 am Central
An 11 am game start against an even more offensively inept Iowa will really get the excitement level up at game time.Sure there will be plenty that go to Nashville and still plenty at Rupp.
If multiple players opt out I could see this as the worst attended game by UK fans in a while.

Feel the same way. I have especially loved Kentucky FB since our last interaction 11 plus months ago. You have a great (online) fanbase. We are almost too friendly. Hawks love the Stoops boys and this is now the 3rd time we had to play one. Would have rather had Ole Miss because hating on Lane Kiffin is so fun and easy. As far as we are concerned, I think, whatever happens happens. Hopefully we start Labas to see what we have if something bad happens to Cade McNamara. No upside at all to start Petras unless injury. I want to win but I think you will find Hawkeyes are totally focused on this upcoming season now that we have a QB with credibility. Our OL is a disaster but we have (so far) 5* #15 player and #1 OL recruit Kaydn Proctor coming in. We likely will need portal help there too as it was the worst since KF's 1999 1st season when he did not have much. Wonder if Deuce may play in this one in the event Levis sits out. Either way, it sucks I have to hate you temporarily but you guys are my unquestioned SEC team and will be once this is over, however it turns out. Peace and I hope everyone on both sides come out healthy. These are 2 programs that respect each other very much.
No disrespect to Iowa but AGAIN? Sheesh. I'm sure some of their fans feel the same
Everyone complaining like we’ve been wronged …. Lol perhaps we shoulda won more games than 7? They tend to reward those teams playing well…. Which isn’t us. I look at it as a chance to win an 8th game, a chance for another bowl win over a known opponent and a good chance to close the season strong and carry momentum into the off season, after a disappointing year. I’ll take it
I would assume people are going to spend new years in Nashville. Surely people aren't going because they expect some high level exciting game.
Iowa fans are just as disappointed as we are about this game. Heck if I was MCB org I would be worried if anyone comes to the game. Even the bars and shops in Nashville is hating this. No one will care about this bowl. Heck it should only be seen on streaming services as live TV will not want this game. Lol
Well, some with $ will still come to Nashville because that city is awesome. Just wish I hated you. I don't. I really like Kentucky
Well we did beat 2 different teams with only 6 wins that got better locations. Even beat an 8 win team that also got a better location.
Playing the same team yet again does nothing for excitement. It’s boring.
The Music City Bowl is a great experience and a good game. Went vs Northwestern - chilly, tough loss but fun. The teams, players and fans and Nashville deserved better. I would go for a fresh matchup but UK gains little from a rematch. It is the one match up I would not fault Levis from skipping. YE in Nashville is interesting but so is watching on TV.

That was one of the major attractions to bowl games. Get to play teams you don't normally play. Yet here we are playing the same team in back to back years. It's bulls**t. Screws both teams.
I think fans from both schools will still go but holy cow was I hoping to play someone new. This is like when we used to play Clemson every year in the Music City
I have 2 tv’s side by side so watching both won’t be a problem. It’s great for watching a game while the brains of the family watches something else. She will leave me alone that day though.
If the weather is decent I will make the long 38 minute drive to Nissan Stadium for this epic, never before seen matchup of two offensive juggernauts. Errr, offensive offenses. But if it's 48 degrees and sunny at 10 AM Central I will drive down, buy a ticket on the street 10 minutes before kickoff, and enjoy it. Flask IS NOT optional for this event.
This is like Clemson vs. Alabama in the national title level. Rematch of the century.
Will anyone from either fanbase show up? I'd much rather watch a massive beat down against UL than this snore fest, 6-3 game with Levis not even playing.
But eff the fans. I almost want no one to show up to it. Show the bowls and administration that we aren't interested in just going to any bowl against any opponent anymore.
I think this says those bowls probably didn’t want us because our offense is so terrible it puts viewers to sleep and nobody will want to watch us. And Iowa might be worse on offense than we are. Yikes.
