I’ll happily chip in $5 if someone can arrange for Jimmy Dykes to never speak again.

We will all miss Vitale one day.
Nah. I got about 10 more years out of him than I enjoyed. He wore out his welcome long before he will quit. Long, long, long before, and as a bonus we have an entire crew of lame asses who grew up on him and then decided to be even more over the top and useless. So, nah. I will happily admit as a child and young teen I loved him but as an adult I would be ashamed if I behaved like him publicly. He’s exhausting and the character he plays got old years ago.

I appreciate what he provided in my childhood, but he’s been awful longer than he was good. He ruined his own legacy.

Before my blood pressure goes through the roof. Dykes is unbearable with his ani-Kentucky bias, which I’m aware most already know. Dick Vitale on the other hand, gives me a sore throat listening to him
I like Dickie V but got tired of the Cal talk, Cal is not at UK and this was a UK vs Bama game.

Always watch the game on mute. I can tell what’s going on with out blow hards . One team is allowed to walk , hold and grab the other cannot.
This is what I have done for the last few years also.

Dykes is one of those guys that thinks he can analyze things that no one else can see, which is beyond ridiculous. He is a grandstander that loves jumping on the bandwagon, especially when UK is down. Now when we are up, he will jump on ours too.

He makes me want to PUKE!!!

I am glad he beat Cancer but it is time for him to hang it up and just retire. I muted most of the game because of Vitale .

I think I figured out that if I just add the word “action” after everything it makes me an analytical mastermind… inbound action into the floppy action off the zoom action with assist action to the dunker spot with offset twist action into rebound positioning action…

It was a terrible broadcast. Horrible to hear Vitale sound like that. I get that he loves it and is an icon, but his voice has been declining for a long time and he was hard to hear before all of the surgeries.

My friend, who lives in another state from me, and I often text one another during the games. We have been muting every game Vitale does for years and years.

Ugly factoid from Drew Franklin.
Still, their record is their record in Kentucky Basketball games this season. Many of you asked if that record is as bad as it seems, so I did the legwork and discovered that it’s not good for the Wildcats when Ravech and Dykes sit courtside for TV broadcasts this season. They’ve called eight Kentucky games together, and Kentucky lost six of those for a 2-6 record with its most frequent broadcast team. :(
