Had to know East was going to be good. Their middle school teams have dominated competition the last couple of years. Future is bright in that part of Wilkes County. I believe Central is 3-0 as well. How is West, North, Starmount, and others doing?

That makes sense for Alleghany. I know they have talent coming up. It is nice to see some of the teams that have not been very good possibly turning the corner.

East Wilkes 30 - North Wilkes 0
Both teams had a decent drive in a scoreless 1st quarter. Then the East D took over and North did nothing the rest of the night. I will say North is the best team our JV's have played so far. They have some good size boys. Get them guys in the weight room and they can have some promise.

I have heard they maybe bringing jv back. Now that was 2 weeks ago when they played south.
Yeah they got a team now once school started back I seen it on max preps, still not many only 15. They got the freshman off varsity who were there to add #'s besides the ones who were starting. They are playing the conference games and played Patrick.
South Stokes had only 13 last I heard they may have gotten more as well.

Best effort from the JV squad all year when it comes to being mentally ready and preped to go.. The layover helped them unlike last year where it negated them when we went to West. Our defense played excellent overall minus the one drive they got a TD. The other TD came off a mistake when we punted early. They never scored again or came close after that. They won the first half we did the 2nd. If we get our O timing down we could be solid. We still got time though.
I'm proud of the kids they never gave up when it would have been easy to do so. If we get the silly things fixed we can have a nice run at the end of the year. The Carver game next week will be a good benchmark for us I hope we show up mentally like we did last year and go from there.

Those guys are dominating and getting great experience. Especially sweet when you consider the guys that the team is missing because of being called up to varsity.
not that it matters, but alleghany jvs won their 1st game of the year vs grayson county from virginia. don't remember the score but i remember seeing in the alleghany newspaper that they won.
Did this game get started earlier than 7 pm ? I saw the score was 24-0 at 15 min. after 7 pm and that said end of 1st Qtr
