2.5 hour drive and come up with a playoff win? Impressive guys. Good lord that QB is a handful.

Just got back. Some poor execution on some pitches otherwise it could have gotten ugly. If they clean that up, they could go places.

Credit to NT's QB; great athlete and most elusive I have seen since Antawn randel-el

Forgive me but is SCE the newer of the 2 schools? If so have they been this far ever?

Well this team deserves it and the bottom half of 8A is not the same as the top half so maybe a state final is possible,...

I think winner of SCE/palatine will go downstate. Better than any teams in the 3rd quarter. palatine should still be the favorite but if SCE takes care of the ball, they will be in the game.

You still play defense until they score sir,...
Oh, totally agree....NT screwed up and SCE was aggressive.. I was just saying that if they had held onto the ball on those two possessions it could have been NT advancing instead. I thought NT very much held their triple option in check after the first couple of series. I'm guessing 17 is their lowest point total of the season?

If if if.

I know ...trust me I know..In Palatine's 24-22 loss to Loyola in the semis last year they turned the ball over twice inside the 3 yard line in the 3rd quarter..Over 100 yards of offense in the quarter and zero points.

As the SCE QB goes so does that offense. QB does a good job with the triple-option and non-option plays. Inside counter worked well and they stuck with it for some timely big gains. Counter option wasn't executed well and the SCE QB actually pitched the ball away for a turnover - looked like he forced the pitch when he should have ate it. They didn't go back to it after that.
Double-Dive was successful and is a nice way of getting C gap on out with a different look.
Toss sweep failed miserably as it often does with TO teams but it gives you a look for PA passes that can be a positive.
QB does a very good job attacking the force player and using the pitch phase of the TO to #7 who can get upfield and is a nice player.
