I've held out for 58 years but I'm ready to buy my first gas grill. Unfortunately, I have a limited grill budget. Any suggestions for a grill in the $300 range +/-? I've read the review sites but the reviews are always mixed. Thought I'd go to the people that would be in the know.

I bought a char-griller grill a few years ago and haven't had a problem at all. It's got one side that's gas and one side that's charcoal. I've had zero problems and it was on sale for $199 when I got it. It's normally about $250-300 at Home Depot. I'd highly recommend it so you can have both charcoal and gas. The charcoal side is still big enough that you can smoke things if you like. Or you can buy a smoker attachment. Hope this helps,

I'm gong to hijack this thread a little. Have any of you tried to grill a frozen pizza on your grill? I have read that a lot of people say it tastes better to them. Any opinions on it?

We have some cheap $150 Grill Master gas grill from Lowe's (works for us for as little as we cook out). It has three burners on it. The directions I have read vary all over the place. Most say to turn the outside 2 burners to high and the middle to low and get it around 400°. Cook for like 6 or 7 minutes and rotate a quarter turn. Then just take it out when it looks done.

I mostly get Tombstone pizzas and want to give it try and appreciate any helpful advice for those that have tried grilling pizza.

It's worn out but I feel like it needs to be said every year.

Your backyard grilled steaks are NOT as good or better than a steakhouse. Ever.
I respectfully disagree. We have a cow killed every year. And I cook a damn mean steak. With that said. I have had several steaks at steak houses, Longhorn for instance, that don't taste near as good as one I can cook at home. Had too many bad steaks, or at least sub par, at Longhorn. Left feeling cheated actually. Now if you go to a place that gets their meat aged, I'll agree with you. But every once in a while they will eff one up too.
