Bernie Sanders.
Bernie Sanders.
Not trying to be argumentative:
Please explain. Hillary will get the dem nom. For Bernie to win, one of two things has to happen. 1) Bernie has to run as an Independent or b) Hillary has to be charged with a crime/ruled ineligible.
I don't think either of those two things happen. I hope I'm wrong and you are right.
Coming down to Trump, Cruz, Clinton or Sanders ... I'd have to take Sanders out of that bunch, but he wouldn't have been my first choice among all candidates that entered.
disclosure of my bias: Campaigned for John Anderson (Independent, way back in 1980's), lifelong Republican until switched to non-affiliated about 10 years ago, voted for Obama (what an abject failure he turned out to be).
We need a president strong on defense and anti-terrorism, who can also get our economy moving forward:
Trump: rookie, no foreign policy defense experience, his bullying tactics will backfire when dealing with the intricacies of foreign affairs (i.e., his ego will get us into something we can't get out of), President cannot simply dictate what happens like Trump is used to doing in private business.
Clinton: has E-Mailgate hanging over her head, could be indicted, lot of baggage, soft on Iran nuclear issue and terrorism.
Cruz: hard to say this, but he would be worse than Trump in every way.
Sanders: nothing he says he will do can be done without drastically raising taxes; i mean, drastically. Soft on terrorism and Iran nuclear.
We're screwed. We need a hero.
Coming down to Trump, Cruz, Clinton or Sanders ... I'd have to take Sanders out of that bunch, but he wouldn't have been my first choice among all candidates that entered.
I'll most likely be voting for Gary Johnson again.
I'm sticking with what I predicted a year ago.....
Hillary
No Dave, this isn't my endorsement, it's a prediction.
Sure it is. Keep pulling her dick. Maybe you get a surprise.I'm sticking with what I predicted a year ago.....

I'm starting to think you have a MILF thing for her.Sure it is. Keep pulling her dick. Maybe you get a surprise.
Why would I want an old lady with a dick? She is your squeeze anyway.I'm starting to think you have a MILF thing for her.
Good lord, what has this country become when we believe that socialism is good? History has shown it isn't.
This has been covered ad nauseum, but like it or not, we are already largely socialist and other than the single payer health care system Sanders isn't proposing anything that we aren't already doing to some degree or another. Granted the single payer health care system is a pretty big change.
The Panama Papers ... an example of what he was talking about with all of the money that is hidden from taxes off shore.
The other things he is proposing:
Using taxes for infrastructure, something we already do.
Using taxes for public education, something we already do.
etc.
If you take all of the negative things that people say about the other candidates, they don't apply to Sanders. If you look at one of the big things people like about Trump (he's rich and therefore can't be bought), it doesn't apply to Sanders directly but he is trying to go one better and get the big money out of politics altogether. What difference does it make if the president can't be bought if the entire congress and everybody else is?
As far as foreign policy ... he was one of the few people that was right about Iraq.
I only say all of that because what he is proposing isn't totally radical if you break it down and look at it instead of just screaming "socialist!!! the power of Christ compels you!!". However, I don't think he's the right guy for the job because there's no way in hell he can get any of those things done or unite the parties. I do like the conversation he is trying to start, but he doesn't have THE key component that I think is most important right now. The only one that does, as far as I can tell is Kasich, but he is so far down I don't see any way he gets the nomination even with a brokered convention.
So, Gary Johnson it is ... again. I will not vote for any of the 2 big parties if they don't have a candidate I can support. And they haven't for quite some time now.
He died? [roll] Yes we are socialized but not to the extent where we lose more than we earn. BIG difference or as Bernie would say,"HUGE difference." If you guys believe in it so much, do you voluntarily give the government more in taxes? You can elect to on your tax forms. My take is, you might believe its ok to take more but only if the govt takes more from people who make more than you do.I've stopped trying to converse with people that blindly scream "socialism". It's like trying to convince some people that Elvis really is dead.
Name a socialist country that has done for humanity what this capitalist country has? Most can't provide more than a roll of toilet paper for the *** of humanity. There's a reason people want to come here, and it isn't so they could get free stuff.Expand on this.
If you can't or don't know, it's cool.Name a socialist country that has done for humanity what this capitalist country has? Most can't provide more than a roll of toilet paper for the *** of humanity. There's a reason people want to come here, and it isn't so they could get free stuff.

So you know that all of them will vote Democrat? McAulliffe just renewed an order first issued by Republican Bob McDonnell in 2013. But like so many other things, Virginia's GOP legislature was for it until a Democrat came along, suddenly making it a bad thing and designed to get the governor in good with Hillary.Too many minorities to disagree with you on that. Hell, Terry McCaulliff just signed up 200,000 for the dems in Va. I'm sure that not all of them woud vote for Hiliary but a great number would.
To me you look silly railing on socialism and socialistic countries while acknowledging that we have well accepted socialistic programs here in the U.S.. You know that it's a sliding scale, right? Meaning most countries have some blend of democracy, socialism and capitalism. According to Wikipedia there are only 4 socialist countries, China, Cuba, Laos and Vietnam (not North).Name it if you can? Name a socialist country that other countries depend on to protect it from communistic aggression? Would there be a NATo without the US?

Let's call France, England, Sweden Denmark very far socialist leaning countries that can't defend themselves and depend on us to do it for them. France still can't pay for all it's social programs and it has a very limited military budget. In fact, almost no country is living up to it's responsiblity under the NATO accord for the % it spends on defense. To me you look silly railing on socialism and socialistic countries while acknowledging that we have well accepted socialistic programs here in the U.S.. OK, so you said not all would vote for Hillary, but you did say that he "signed up 200,000 for the Dems" as if they would all vote that way. And I've lived in Virginia longer than you have. So what? Please show where I made any value judgement about it, I merely pointed out that there wasn't all this butt hurt when McDonnell did the same thing. And I see you picked up right up on the GOP talking point about victims serving on juries: “Murder victims don’t get to sit on juries but now the man that killed them will,” said Del. Robert B. Bell (R-Albemarle), who is running for attorney general. “A murder victim won’t get to vote, but the man that killed them will.”Do you live in Va? I have since 84. No, the gop legislature was not for "it". I'm not against it either for certain crimes. I would way major crimes should be a limiting factor. I said not all would vote for her, didn't I? Should criminals be allowed to carry guns too? Should victims be allowed to sit on juries? Now, criminals are being allowed. Is that right? I have a lot of questions about the executive order that can be rescinded by the next governor. McCauliff could work with the legislature and craft some legislation to allow some felons the right but not all.
Not sure what your point is but I'll take a stab at it. You're saying that you're a bad country if you're a small very far socialist leaning country that has banded together with the U.S. to provide defense for Europe against Russia? Is Sweden going to take on Russia by themselves? It only makes sense for those countries to band together for mutual defense no matter what their form of government is if Russia might like to make a satellite country out of any or all of them. It is in the U.S.'s best interests if the status quo is maintained therefore we are there with them militarily. We're not there by accident. Donald may be right that we are not properly compensated for our presence there but that's another thread. Speaking of countries that can't pay their bills (without borrowing), seen our national debt numbers lately?Let's call France, England, Sweden Denmark very far socialist leaning countries that can't defend themselves and depend on us to do it for them. Precisely, we cannot keep being the worlds policeman while these other countries
College shouldn't be free and either should Miss Fluck's birth control pillsSounding more and more like Bernie Sanders every day
College shouldn't be free and either should Miss Fluck's birth control pills
Free is the problem. Want to bring cost down, dry up the money that govt provides and then the cost would come down. After what I see coming out of colleges today, educated by those educators, the graduates are a bigger problem than uneducated people.Yeah, hell, why would we want more educated people in this country? Let's keep the IQ level as low as possible.
IronyAfter what I see coming out of colleges today, educated by those educators are a bigger problem than uneducated people.

I don't agree with free either ... however, I don't think education should be a profit center either.
