My Opinion About How FSU Will Defend Friday

I think FSU loads the box and shuts down the strong side of the field so Malik can't roll out or run any read option plays.

They will dare Malik to throw the ball and until he burns them a couple times, they won't come out of that defense.

Reasonable. And simple. I imagine there are at least 4 workarounds.

If that is what they do...look for Marshon Ford and other TE's to reek havoc on the short side of the field. That is what I would do.

And some other designed plays to take advantage of that scenario.

I hope so, I hope Malik is "on" for this game, this is not the same FSU that we played last year. They just went into the Super Dome and beat LSU, they are 2-0 and have had 2 weeks to prep for us.

If Malik can hit 5 and 15 yard passes we will have a chance. I just can't see Malik or the RBs getting a lot of yards in this one IF I am right about how FSU will defend us.

I watched the LSU/FSU game and they know how to contain a running QB and stop the run.

Ideas I had for this are to run 2-3 different tunnel screens (different looks/formations and blocking schemes) and like I said earlier Malik will need to hit 5 and 15 yard passes consistently.

But, I am an armchair coach that likes to drink and I didn't even sleep at a Holiday Inn..... I just love the game.

The TEs may get scraped or they will have to stay in and block with 2 to 3 extra men in the box.

If the TEs can release and/or chip to the inside, it will help Malik a lot.

I think SS is a better coach than some of you are giving him credit for. Just my own opinion.

I only remember seeing one screen last week and it netted about 9 yards.
More,more,more...just keep em guessing.

After the debacle in Syracuse because the lack of preparation or the wrong game plan I don’t have a lot of confidence right now. The FSU game will tell us a lot about the team and the coaches.

A lot of good advice here I hope our coaches are reading this thread
Kinda what I was thinking.

Satterfield is not going to be confused with Nick Saban anytime soon but I'm thinking if some Joe blows here on the message board can come up with some plays to run Satterfield can surely muster up something better..

Or, let's at least hope so...!

CSS and his sidekick BB got worked over by Air Force and Syracuse.
The UCF win is fools gold, they willl have a losing record this year.
