Josh Mcdaniel Pats offensive coordinator

From Ohio and his dad is a coaching legend. From what I read he was getting paid 1.5 million to be st Louis OC a couple years back. Seems Tom Brady loves him and thinks he is an excellent coach.

Now would a guy like him want to come to UK? Would take 2 million at least for him to be entertained and possible 2.5 mil to land him as our OC. Would have instant name recognition in Ohio and you would be able to attract top Qb talent no doubt. He is the QB coach so he would be working with Qb's and calling plays so that works out well.

I know I'm in the minority but I wouldn't care to get a Paul Johnson Deciple or Naval Academy guy and run the triple option. You don't need the biggest, strongest line. You just need a bavkfield of explosive guys and some big receivers to block and catch a play action pass occasionally.

If you find an athlete that can throw it decently you could even throw an extra wrinkle into it and use the pass a little more.

Controls the clock, do more with less, and limit negative plays. We would also be the only team in the SEC running it so teams would actually have to prepare for us instead of tweaking what they've been doing every other week. UGA is the only team who is use to seeing it and would see it more than once a year.

I really think that's out beat chance at being a consistent 7-9 win team wth an occasional shot at the East.

Good lord.

Let me add.........

Gruden is dying to get a shot at coaching at Kentucky.

Peyton Manning would be OC for free.

Smart at Bama was been our secret coach in waiting.

You people do know where Kentucky is on the college coaches pecking order don't you?

Hint: It's not at the top.

Dig up Lombardi and Bryant and mix their DNA. I can wait another 47 years till he's ready.

He doesn't have any college experience outside of one year as a GA at Mich St. Doubt he would drop to college or even be successful at it. Think he gets another shot to run an NFL team next year.

I actually like this idea throw in some zone read and wildcat with that setup. You could get teams fits big time.

I must agree with you plus we have couple solid tide ends to work with in this setup. Play action to Conrad out of this set would be promising. Pipedream though but good idea in my opinion. Put together O lines like the 90's Nebraska teams then you would really have something.

Since we are talking all crazy, how bout this. Bring Rich Brooks back as team manager/co-head coach. Pay him $2 million per year for 3 years. Stoops stays on as co-head coach/DC/recruiting coordinator. Brooks, as the team manager has final say in all decisions. Stoops gets the talent in here and Brooks coaches them up. After 3 years, we decide whether or not to keep Stoops on as the head coach. Cost would be $6 million minus whatever we are paying Eliot vs. an $18 million buyout and another huge contract for the next coach.

his head coaching job in denver was very similar to jokers time here. he alienated the fan base and sucked all around. I lived in denver then. It was not a great time for denver fans. I wouldn't want him here as a HC.

I know you think you're clever, but Jedwar already beat you to it. How embarrassing for you.
Not embarrassed at all. You must be really self conscious. It is actually an honest mistake in that I didn't read every single response. See how that could happen? Well, you probably couldn't with your perfectness and future telling.

Sarcasm is one of the ways people cope with embarrassment. I'm sorry for you. And 'perfectness' isn't a word. It's 'perfection.'

Or, as in this case, it is a way to point out the ignorance in the person you are communicating with. No need to feel sorry for me.

You weren't pointing out my ignorance, you were pining for my perfectness and future telling. You might want to get checked out, I suspect the Dunning-Kruger effect.

If you can't see the ignorance in the fact that you actually believe you are perfect and can foresee the future, then maybe you have bigger issues than I thought. I'll pray for you.

Ha ha ha ha ha...I never said I believed that. Those words came from YOUR keyboard, Captain Straw Man. You don't know me well enough, over the internet, to make those kinds of claims. If you believe you do, then you are the one with the issues.

No, I don't know you well enough to make those statements. I am glad you finally said that. Now, learn from what you just said and stop making claims toward other posters in the same manner.

Oh, please don't misunderstand me. I'm not telling you to shut up, like you just did to me. I don't need other people's silence to make me feel like I won the argument.

I didn't tell you to shut up. I said quit making claims toward others like you don't want others to make toward you. You can have a discussion with out making claims on other character or knowledge.

are the people saying Brohm here even as head coach serious? he is way above our pay grade, like different stratospheres. He will be getting looked at by UGA, USC, USCjr, Miami, Missouri. We could never get him.
