It's a good year to fall into 7A!! WWS which I do not believe is in your top 30 Chicagoland rankings is preseason 7A with a top 10 ranking. Don't get me wrong...WWS will be strong and deserves some love in the preseason rankings;... But it does point out how strong 8A is this year. Could this be another year where both a DVC 8A and DVC 7A make deep deep runs?

Edgy, When was the last time MS was not in your preseason class top ten?

Marian Central 6th in 5A? Edgy you sure about that? Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong. On offence just the tight end coming back. On defense, I know of a D end, a line backer and one DB, I think. I don't really know how good they will be, but as far as experience coming back, I don't see it.

I also heard that MCC does not have a soph team this year. Benet was supposed to play them in week three, but instead is playing Morris on the soph level.

I heard they are combining sophmores with the juniors and seniors and having the freshman take the soph scheadule playing other freshman! I guess they are doing a lot more JV games. I also heard that is what the ESCC wanted to do for all schools!

Looks like no soph. team for Marian Catholic either. Frosh game scheduled before the varsity.

I think this speaks to the lack of depth in 5A this year. Some serious questions about st Francis as well only 8 juniors and no sophomore team those 20 kids playing up on Varsity

I think you are going to see 4/5/6A schools, especially private, start eliminating soph fball, jmo.

with all due respect to my friends in Wheaton, but Francis in the top 10? I guess we will see. Bronco maybe a top 4 team in 6A, but not sure its going to show up in the win column this year. regular season wins only matter when you get to 5, then they don't.
