My son (a twin) and his wife had triplets 11 May after adopting a baby a year and a half ago. She was not supposed to be able to conceive. I am headed to Chattanooga 26 May where they are currently staying until the boys (born 2 1/2 months pemature) are strong enough to live without assistance. One of them has Spina Bifida and does not have movement in his legs. I am asking for the prayers of those who believe for the health of the boys going forward. TIA. Afterwards I am going to Louisville for family reunion. Have not been home since my mother died early morning April 3 2012. Yes, a few hours after the national championship game. She raised me on UK basketball. Wished she were here to see my grandsons.
Prayers sent

I'd settle to just get back what I've paid in.
I think we all would. Difference is, you'll see some of it.

If I could stop paying the government $3200 a year in ssi and just put that towards the long term disability premium and my IRA's, you know how many ******* backflips I would do?

Depends on why she wants the third. Children are a blessing. People that are responsible and work for a living should have as many children as they can afford.

I think it's ethically irresponsible to have more than one kid, the world is already over-populated as it is...why not just adopt or foster-to-adopt?

Where do you think this is...China? There is ZERO over-population problem in the U.S.A right now if you don't live in a major metropolitan city like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, or Detroit. In fact, there is so much uninhabited land space in the U.S. that it is mind boggling when uneducated people say stupid things like we run the risk in the U.S. of over-population. In fact, it is the bleeding-heart libs who like to spread these lies about over-population to further their environmentalist agenda. Is there over-population, yes, but only in the major cities like I stated earlier. If those people spread out some to outlying counties then that would solve the population problems rather quickly.

As to the OP, I say the more the merrier.

If you want to increase the amount and length of your future child support payments, then by all means have another baby. You probably need to add another $250k to the kid's college fund too.

I have three kids. The third came by surprise.

The third kid is awesome. He is more outgoing than the others and really not that big of a problem to raise. Good kid.

The issue was not so much with him but with the family dynamics. Child one was ok, but child two was the issue. The middle child syndrome is very active in my house. Number 2 is always seeking for more attention and behavior has been negatively impacted by the third child.

I have 3.

Going from 2 to 3 is like going from 0-1. It is a whole new ballgame when you are outnumbered.

My are 10, 8 and 2. So the gap between the oldest vs. the 3rd is makes it a little challenging.
