Are there any MBTI-heads on the Paddock?

One of my uncles is a psychiatrist and his whole family is super into it (his wife and daughters are social workers).

I've known my "type" since mid-high school and it's always come up the same through the years.

The last time I took the test I got the exact same score on S and T and the other 2 times I took it I got S once and T once. Also of note I did not answer a single question on the F side of the F/T continuum.

There are two new personality types. ESFB and ISFB.

ESFB = Extroverted **** For Brains.

The other one is more tolerable.

INFJ. The one thing about the profile I recall is something about an uncanny ability to connect emotionally, almost like a mind-reading thing. Probably what they now call "emotional intelligence". Not sure my wife would characterize me the same way.

It wasn't until years later that I realized all the profiles were very heavy on the positive attributes, and quickly skimmed the negatives.....

It's the new astrology.

"It says I'm kind of heart but can get upset when having to deal with someone not kind of heart... That's TOTALLY ME!!!"

I've taken 2 tests thus far......mainly from the free tests that popped up when Googling "Myers-Briggs Personality Test"

Got 2 different results
INTJ
ENTA

I guess I have a split personality?

This is getting ridiculous.

-My first test through a website was a ENTA
-My second test through a website was a INTJ

-Now, here are the results of my third test through "truity"
-"You may be an introvert or an Extrovert"
-"You may be an intuitive or a sensor"
-"You may be a feeler or a thinker"
-"You are a judger".......well, at least they think I'm something, right?
-Then they say, here are 8 types that "possibly" could fit me.....read through and decide which one "best describes me best"

WTF?

And what exactly is this supposed to tell you/ what benefit is it supposed to provide you to know? I've never taken one as far as I can tell but if the E or I is supposed to be introvert or extrovert I'm definitely a huge extrovert. Funny to see all the introverts on here because a lot of the online "personalities" would make you think most people on here are extroverts.

Ive seen the shorter tests, but the one I took actually took a while to complete and gave really detailed results about your personality. I think a lot of the short ones you see are the equivalent to the online IQ tests, just a quick way to get a result but wont necessarily be accurate.

My girlfriend works for a management consultant that does pre-employment screenings. They use this test. She asked if I'd take it, and I did. I'm ISTJ. So is she. I guess that's why we get along so well. We understand how each other think.
