Any word on if Cat Barber will be back next year??? Him and DS JR could have been the quickest backcourt in the country next year.

Barber is gone. Rumor has it he's already shopping agents.

Hard to say. That's five in four years. It should also be pointed out he's taken in probably that number or more of transfers in the same amount of time. I can't help but wonder if Dennis Smith isn't have second thoughts about signing there. Right now they only have eight scholarship players for next season.

This is symptomatic of the new NCAABB world....dont like your PT? Transfer....dont stay and work it out or work on your game...no, look for an instant fix elsewhere. Its prevalent from the AAU system and all the other competitive sports set ups...the value of hard work is lost...instant gratification is the norm the all want. Sad

I suspect they're in for a rerun of this year where the team sucks but it provides a platform for the star to max his draft stock. Smith will have that consolation prize if he does have regrets.

State fans deserve better.
Do they, though? I find their response to adversity to be more like indignation than humility and patience.

That's every fan base. They have their redneck lunatics like every southern state school, but I like the "average State fan". They have way more humility than one might expect.

Yeah, but there's this indignation to it, like they think they're entitled to better. I haven't been too keen on the average Stete fan since they ran Herb off.
