You're damn right I am. Was trying to do some serious counter juju when KU cut it to six.

Now, I believe we can all join in with a chorus of Rock Chalk....F*** you!

You think you're pansy *** "positive thoughts" are pulling us through this gauntlet??? F NO.

I'm wearing the same shirt and pants. Not washed. I'll throw the shirt in the dryer to fluff it up.

Just watched a clip of highlights from our earlier game with UNC and realized that we'll be wearing the blue uniforms tomorrow. Not that it matters.

No ****.

Kaiser sits there all pumped with sunshine moonbeams and marshmallows whistling passed the graveyard, whilst the jackalhood is doing the heavy lifting of conducting stressful, repetitive, voodoo dogma.

The bandwagon has comfy seats apparently, but not in the engine compartment where the WORK is done.

I've thought that since the bracket came out.
I still felt Kansas was the wildcard. They beat Duke on a neutral floor, UK at Rupp. They were the team I felt could beat any of the three of UNC/UK/UCLA.

A healthy Oregon could have given them fits, but last night was not a normal Oregon game. They got bailed out by several lucky threes. Their last two in the first half that were banked home were absolute luck.

When Kansas decided to play defense in the second half, Oregon at one point was 6-21 from the field to open the half. Not to mention their offense was a lot of standing around and hoping Brooks, Bell, or that other dude I can't think of his name right now could do something in the last five seconds of the shot clock. Let's see how that works out when they have Fox, Briscoe, and Hawkins in their face every possession.

Kansas did everything to pull off the comeback last night except make shots. They were turning Oregon over, forcing them to take bad shots late in the shot clock, and had Dana Altman praying to hang on by playing stall ball at the end. They were 0-9 from three until Jackson made that one late in game, had they hit a couple more of the wide open ones they bricked earlier, his three ties the game.

Florida and Gonzaga, good f'n luck. Egbunu being out will kill Florida, and that honk at Gonzaga will get killed by Bam. Win today, and I may start pumping sunshine.

With Kansas pulling a Kansas last night, I honestly believe that the winner of today's game wins the whole damned thing. Nervous, but hopeful.

Yep. I agree.

I also think this may be Cal's best coaching too. He turned a run and gun no defense into a half court grind out.

We win today. #9 is coming.

For a while, I thought Kansas had a good shot. But I figured the south bracket had really good teams and was more battle tested in tournament play.

Yeah, but that can bite you too. Look at 2014 Kentucky. Beat Wichita State, Louisville, Michigan, and Wisconsin four games in a row, and have absolutely nothing left in the tank for an inferior UCONN team.

At least with UCLA, it opened up enough in the second half that Kentucky didn't go balls to the wall for 40 minutes. Cal actually got good minutes from reserves like Mulder and Humphries, even if they didn't light up the stat sheet, to rest the big guns. Gives room to go all out today and get a week to refill the tank.

Spinarkle is dogshit.
I've never seen a whistle or no-call that he didn't side with the refs. Someone could be raping an opposing player at mid-court and if the ref didn't call it, "That's a good no-call there, Verne. The referee can tell that he is clearly enjoying it, and isn't buying the flopping going on out there.". DIAF.

Oddly enough, I'm strangely calm, as if I'm floating above it all, far removed from the churning, swirling din. Detached and reserved, accepting this moment, and all future moments, as part of a reality enveloping me, assimilated yet unique, somehow realizing that what will soon pass has already played out countless times among the unreachable stars glowing faintly, flickering like dying embers in the dark, cold night.

All good things.
