I had a pellet ice machine before they were cool. Kook, I assume you have the water reservoir? Knowing you, you probably ran a dedicated water line to it.

Got back from spring break yesterday. It’s cold at the beach. Still got sunburnt. Old skin is easier to burn apparently.

I take no joy in my brackets successes. Still in the running for 4th in my work bracket.

We went two weeks ago I didn't get cold really. I enjoyed it. Kook probably ran a dedicated water line directly from a glacier.

There’s a house in Lexington T the corner of Reed Ln and Lafayette Pkwy that makes the Little Pool House look like child’s play. Google earth can hopefully show the details.

I figured it would skip page 666. You know, like hotels nix the 13th floor.

Don’t eff this up, mitchy! No Billy G redux!!! Hire a young-ish dude that is hungry & actually knows the game & has a handle on the new landscape of college basketball (NIL, portal, etc…). Only hire funky as a backup plan…and if it comes to that then don’t give that mofo any buyout clauses.

There’s no such thing as cheating in college sports now, so fear not.
Lack of institutional control is still a thing.

Also, I could see funky…paying off the refs, contacting HS recruits during dead periods, contacting opposing players in-season about transferring via the portal, hiring strippers to act as RA’s, etc…You know, shady funkycat-type stuff.

I also absolutely think that funky would pull a basketball version of Harbaugh’s sign stealing operation. Maybe bug the opponent’s locker room & bench so he can hear their strategies. Something along those lines.

The more I think about it…no doubt UK would be on probation by the start of the 2nd semester of funky’s inaugural season at the helm.

Reading Cal’s quotes from his press conference in Fayetteville yesterday (some of which sounded very familiar) & seeing that he shunned their hog call deal…I can’t help but shake my head. Those poor bastards have no idea what they’ve signed up for…but it won’t take long. Buckle up, Razorbacks.

As for Cal, he will realize soon enough that Arkansas basketball fans are just as “crazy“ as UK fans when you do stupid shite as a coach.

Was there a B-Rad sighting? The Hawg faithful will quickly fall in love with him.
He was there, of course. Looking slightly less embarrassing than usual. He is, of course, about to be a Division 1 basketball coach. Gotta look the part

I don’t know B-Rad’s romantic status, but I’m assuming he will absolutely crush in Arkansas. Rich, in good shape, young, has all his teeth, not troll-faced. Get that boy a mop and broom ‘cause he finna CLEAN UP.

Watching the Final Four, I was so jealous of these teams with experience, a few freshman playing their role, and coaching instead of screaming. Then by the championship game I was excited because we could soon have a team like that.

Drew seems like a guy who will keep his head down and get right to work. No frills, just coach. Sure, he’ll make a few Paul Miller Ford and Central Bank ads and do some charitable stuff, but there’s no cult of personality around him and he’ll probably lay low and buy a sensible McMansion in Andover.

Sign me up. Unless Hurley wants the job. Or Donovan.

Yanks off to a good start. Too bad there are no White Sox or As in the AL East. Reds sitting at .500 which sounds about right. They’re both making the playoffs though. Write it down. One team will go a little further.

5 out of 7 coaches have won here. Why? UK gives them resources. We just need to float the cash for NIL, hire some defensive guru assistant coach, spend $7M in the portal, and we win. Like Duke and UNC. Grab the hometown hero. Profit.

By now, we’ve all seen the offensive numbers Pope puts up. It’s a crap hire, but he’s ours. I just hope it’s not like Kenny Payne.

LEK back on page 666?!?

Things I'm going to like.
  • Not worrying about how 6+ freshman are going to gel
  • April/May can be less stressful not waiting to hear who's gonna stay or go (as much)
  • Hopefully offense AND defense. Not just one or another.
Things I'm going to miss.
  • Landing the home run hire and being the talk of the CBB world
  • Expectations that we SHOULD be final four level every year
  • The John Walls, Karl Anthony Towns, Nerlens, et al. kind of recruits. I don't see the top of the top guys coming for Mark, right now.

Next year will be pretty ugly unless Pope gets extremely lucky with the portal. Even then I don’t expect immediate greatness. I’m willing to stay in a holding pattern to see what he can do in the next recruiting cycle or two though.

I’ve been saying for years that I was tired of Cal and more than willing to put up with a down year or two to see him gone. Pope definitely wasn’t my first choice but I’m not all doom & gloom about him either. Let him cook!

I don’t have any delusions of any of the Cal-leftover recruits or the current roster players sticking around…but I will tell you one player that would absolutely flourish in Pope’s system…Big Z.

A 7’-er that can pass & can shoot the 3 would kill it. And Big Z can do both. I will even go so far as to say that he would boost his draft stock 10-fold by sticking around. Lotto…maybe even Top 5.

If I’m Pope…Big Z is the first call I make and/or the 1st face to face meeting.

Indeed. I'm all in on Pope untill I can't anymore. Sure. Not the first choice but I'm certainly not disappointed. It'll be nice to see a team actually jail and play together and understand their job duties on the floor and communicate.

Now I’m really excited. I’ve never seen a team jail before. Sounds interesting.
