How about Isaiah Rucker, dropback QB from Crete-Monee, who is a junior-to-be? He is every bit of the 6-5 height posted on their MaxPreps roster and is likely to add to the 195-lb. listing.

Is it safe to assume that all the QB prospects you named are actually kids that you work with in your program?

Rucker largely played in a specialized, 5-wide offensive grouping that was subbed in periodically. See a couple throws and his arm is something special. Likely to be a big break-out year for the kid in 2016 after sharing time with a very productive senior power-running QB (Clint Ratkovich) in '15.

No, Justin did not get injured against Plainfield South. He went 33-53 for 258 yards against South. Please remember, he was playing sophomore ball.

Evan Lewandowski - Lake Zurich
Daniel Hill - Waukegan
Both are big pro style QBs with Big Arms. Both are just sophomores this season but will start and play well for their respective teams as Juniors next season. Hill was a varsity starter at Waukegan at TE last as a sophomore and entered the game when Waukegan needed a big pass play. Lewandowski sophomore team was 8-1 only loss was to undefeated Cary a Grove.

Hearing lots of good things about Lewandowski around the circuit. He could really have a breakout year

I think Hunt has a monster season, as well as the kid at Loyola. Cam Thomas has so much potential, but...

Is this thread specific to Chicago and the suburban area, or are we talking throughout the state of Illinois ?

Now that Steven Frank is gone from the SPC conference, how about Johnny Carnagio at Minooka? Not the best size, but heart has no size

You can go ahead and name your son like everyone else in this thread.

Johnny Carnagio now there's a name that brings me back a bit. I remember my sons team playing his "Unbeatable Braves" many times in youth ball.

Glad to see he is still at it.

Thank you at least a soph playing at the varsity level. I was getting tired of reading lower level stats.

Josh Bean-Hinsdale Central
Josh Bean is definitely one to watch. Very solid Junior season on a talent-filled team. Won't split time this year so he's now the guy. Between he, Bryant at LT and Hunt at OPRF that West Suburban Silver has 3 dudes.

Hunt, Thomas and Bean. Unfortunately for Thomas his team probably won't be very good but the kid is a special athlete.

Derek Kyler - Dekalb
Saw him play against Hinsdale South in the 2nd round of the playoffs in 2014 as a sophomore. Loved watching him play. Athletic, southpaw, can throw the ball, just looked smooth out there. Probably my favorite QB of the 2016 class.

Isaiah Rucker - Crete Monee
Saw him play against Hinsdale South in the semi-finals last year, he was good (not great) but you can tell he will be very good. Especially when he gets all the reps and has the talent around him that is expected to have. He'll be a junior this year and will be fun to watch.

Josh Bean - Hinsdale Central
He can run and throw, got a lot of time last year. Dual threat QB's are back breakers for defenses and he'll be one of them. He'll be the reason why Hinsdale Central finally takes down Glenbard West this year. #bookit.

I thought you had another QB you are really touting. What is his name?

In all seriousness what all does West have coming back besides Moorehead? Seems like the are losing a ton, granted I am not very tied in on what is actually going on with the program.

I don't know either but it's one of those programs that is well run, has a great feeder system and a good off-season weight lifting program. Even though I think the head coach might be in the top 5 for immature coaches in the state, he still runs a very good program.

They're Sophs looked like a varsity team last year. Weight room, fundamentals and being coach able. Those are the kids they get. Mix 1-2 stud athletes in there and you get state championships.
